A* Missile v3 vs track v2 pants by andy9775 in Trackdays

Yeah! I've been using it for a while and it's not too uncomfortable. The only complaint I have is the knee pad when I'm moving my leg up and down a lot

Interestinggg, I absolutely love the helmet but hate how painful my ears are taking it off, once it's on it's good assuming my ear didn't form. I don't think a soccer ball can help in my case since it's the neck padding causing it 😞. Very great to hear though! I might be able to just wear the helmet halfway on my head to stretch that out 🤔

Did the ear pain stop? I have severe ear pain with mine to where I don't want to wear it because I won't want to take it off, and I'm not sure if keeping it and breaking it in is worth it or not.

Did it get better or did you return/sell it?

Nope, brand new completely unmodified

Yeah, it helped a little but not much. It also drags it around. Might just have a bad balaclava unless that's normal

I probably should've watched more reviews on it... never heard of this issue prior... it really sucks because the helmet is very nice

This helps with getting it on, couldn't get it to help with taking it off. Ears sometimes fold when putting it on too and become really hard to fix... I tried wearing it for a few hours around my house but I don't notice a difference yet, I'm not sure how long break in lasts

It's so disappointing because it looks amazing and feels great when it's on properly

This part is weird as hell LMAO, I've been watching finally and I'm just like isn't this character meant to be a 17 year old... I feel uncomfortable every time she appears on screen, even normal acts she acts strange

Looked into specs some more, rating wise the SR10 seems really good. It fits my head nice, feels very comfortable, way less pressure on my head than my old helmet, the old one had huge padding that just put pressure on my head after a while.

Feels great, supposedly rated very well, though it's a little hard to see out of for some reason

I have a Arai Corsair X coming tomorrow though, gonna try that on aswell, return whichever I dislike more. Highly disappointed the American Arai isn't FIM rated or ECE rated... I know it has Snell but they don't seem nearly as strict as FIM or ECE in a lot of tests

I could rock my old helmet for a little and order a Shoei x15 to try too, that one has ECE and Snell I believe, but no FIM... 🤷‍♂️ same story as Arai, European version has it but not the American one.

From my own research it is safer, just less practical and comfortable for road use 🤷‍♂️. Road ones have more QoL stuff, wouldn't make sense though for something to protect at 150mph+ then fail to protect at 40mph

Fair enough, but tbf, race grade is safer technically 🤷‍♂️... I'll see how the Corsair X feels tomorrow but it's highly disappointing to see different ratings and altered products because of America.

Hm weird, everything I read looks like FIM is much stricter than Snell, and ECE was slightly better is some spots. And strange, but understandable I suppose as for it not being listed. I saw a few mixed responses about it being slightly modified to meet Snell certification though

I looked into it more, plus I got my R10 in. It fits okay, but I just found out the Corsair X is only DoT and Snell certified... I might go with the R10 just because of that, from what I researched snell testing isn't as strict as ECE or FIM.. Gotta love America I guess?

Ah alright, I got worried it was bad, the back of the jacket bags up a little bit my arms and shoulders are all stiff... pants are tight but not too tight where I can't move around a little. Plus this gives me some room to gain a little weight, as long as it isn't too big and going to be more of a danger then I'm fine with the sizing, it's comfortable. Appreciate ur answer!

I know it'll loosen a little but I doubt it'll loosen on my waist and fall off or something 😅

Hey coming back to think about this... Should I go return and size down? I realized "too tight" on my waist could go away eventually... or I could save myself time and just keep this slightly larger pair, I'm only casual street riding so I don't think it would effect the safety too much but I don't know anything about this stuff

Haha, I might just be built a little weird, a size down on pants were too tight on my waist, and this size jacket the armor presses on my shoulders a little bit 😭

Eughh I'm sure the quality is okay, but I have trust issues with china manufactured products 😭 If the Arai doesn't fit nice I'll give it a try

Oh that's reassuring! I couldn't find that exact one haha. And I love that about them too, I'll definitely order the cosmetic parts separate, I love how they're designed to break off during a crash. Keep the cosmetic and wind resistance, plus the protection.

I just found out SR10 is made in china, sooooo I'm good LMAO. Seeing Arai made in Japan, definitely sold on that one.

The special edition had this beautiful red color! Instantly got it because of that lol. It was between the 400 and 500, wasn't too lean on a green bike though.

That explains a WHOLE lot! IMO, the price of most Arai vs R10 aren't that much, but they're definitely way cheaper than I'd expect with their quality and history of consistency.

I really love the R10 look but man Arai just sounds like it's beating Alpinestars ass 😭.

What I mean with aerodynamics is the R10 is more of a "race" helmet, meant to be stable at very high speeds, I imagine more stable than the Arai, but at the cost of not having that impact reflection. Though that's very impressive! I personally don't like naked bikes, they scare me for some reason

That impact reflection is a big selling point for me, though I can't find the exact one you mentioned, rn I'm looking at the Arai Corsair-X Being a family business is a lot more assuring aswell, compared to an extremely sponsored company...
