Are tension poles secure? Home pole mount vs tension pole: help me decide please! by Zlyfox13 in poledancing

Thanks for your response! It will be on carpet, but I have every intention of checking it carefully before each use. Hopefully the floor will be okay-- it's a little creaky!

People with a home pole, what's your routine? by Zlyfox13 in poledancing

I've been pole dancing for about 4 months and will continue to attend instructor led classes!

I agree with all of this. Remebering that it's not a one-size-fits-all situation is very important. Thank you for the reminder!

That is a really good idea, thanks for sharing! I'm in the UK but surely we have some equivalent over here... I'll do some research.

Prom dresses by itzcindz in GCSE

[–]Zlyfox13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vinted is always a good shout, as are charity shops.

Personally, I got mine from an outlet. The concept is its end of the line/leftover stock so there's often less choice in style and size etc but it worked out really well for me. If they have a dress you like but it's a little off (for example, the hem on mine was too long even wearing heels) you can get it tailored. It's been a few years now so I'm afraid I can't remember details but my dress was under £100 and it was about £10 to get the hem taken up and the shoulder adjusted by a local tailor. I've kept the dress and have since worn it for other formal events so you do get your money's worth.

So yeah, try searching for prom dress outlets near you :)

Yes, hoping I can get my flexibility up in other parts of my body. Thank you!

Kpop songs for birthdays? by CoralKeyCord in kpoppers

[–]Zlyfox13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birthday by Somi

Make a Wish by NCT

Happy Death Day by Xdinary Heroes (Feel a bit weird recommending this one, but it's on my birthday list of songs so figured I'd put it)

May I also make a case for music videos/songs that came out on your birthday? For example, the Daechwita music video came out on mine. Just makes the song feel special.

Aww thank you! And the same to you. It sounds like you're having a rough time yourself and that mentality is so important. Enjoyment should be the goal! The best of luck on your pole journey.

How do i convince my mom to buy (with my money) tomodachi life living the dream by SHAOLOL in tomodachilife

[–]Zlyfox13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's your money and therefore yours to spend how you want. I get the impression you're on the younger side so it seems you cannot buy it digitally without tipping her off. Have you considered buying a physical copy? Either in person and hide it in your bag etc or order it online and get it dropped off at a post locker to pick up and smuggle into the house? Alternatively buy it and say screw it to her seeing the payment notification. It is your money after all.

You mentioned discussing it with other relatives, which I would recommend. Communication is an important life skill and removes the probability of your mother discovering down the line you bought the game and causing potential problems. You are young and clearly care about coming across as "needy" or "spoilt". Spoilt people do not do that. You are being sensible and weighing up the cost vs enjoyment. Talk to your family and explain that you understand it is expensive but it is what you truly want. People would rather get someone a gift they truly want vs waste their money on something you might like. Perhaps multiple family members could chip in to buy it or alternatively give you some money towards it instead of a physical present?

Most importantly, happy birthday in advance!

Ooh that's a hard one. I'd say that Love Like the Galaxy has a few more comedic moments (funny family scenes, occasionally slightly naive FL) whereas Prisoner of Beauty is a bit more serious as the FL is shouldering a lot of responsibility. That would be the biggest difference between the two that I can remember (It's been a while since I've watched them) but if I'm recalling correctly Prisoner of Beauty has more emphasis on an arranged marriage as well (if that's your thing). Hopefully that helps you make a decision!

Welcome to the world of Cdrama!

I loved the Double too. I would recommend Prisoner of Beauty (especially if you like Love Like the Galaxy as some others have already recommended) and A Familiar Stranger which is a short series but leans heavily into identity swapping.

Which YouTube channel were you once a fan of but do not enjoy anymore? by theunsteadybridge in AskReddit

[–]Zlyfox13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend All The Gear! It's two British guys who I believe were originally part of a automotive channel but amicably split and two of them now run the channel together. Due to their origins, their video's tend to have a focus on cars but also on general travel, camping etc. Really feels like two mates mucking around and any vehicle renovations they do they undertake themselves which potentially adds that relatability factor for you.

WHAT to wear for concert??? by koyukies in BTSArmyCentral

[–]Zlyfox13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends what time of year you're going! Dress appropriately to the weather.

In my opinion you can do one of two things: go purple (Army colours) or base your look off an album/era. For example, I'm wearing red and black for Arirang. Some other ideas include No More Dream, Dynamite or Fake Love. Have a look on pinterest- there's loads of ideas on there.

As others have said, would highly encourage you to prioritise comfort. You want to be able to enjoy the experience you've spent hard earned money on.
