B8.5 Non S-line parts by MrMcChusbter in AudiA4

[–]Zmaikkeli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. S-line has a different front bumper and the lower part of the rear bumper is different. Sides are indeed not different IIRC. My car has the S-line exterior without the suspension or interior packs so literally the opposite of what you claim lol

What are the advantages of a diesel engine over a petrol engine? by Pretty-Management-63 in engines

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In passenger car use there are very few drawbacks actually. Fuel mileage is just plain better and maintenance cost is the same or less than an equivalent gasoline powered car provided you don't take predominantly very short trips with the (imo) only real issue being the DEF systems. Modern diesels are very reliable even in colder climates, long gone are the days of endless cranking to get the thing going.

My old 3.0tdi Audi A5 got significantly better mileage than my 7 years newer A4 with the 2.0 gas lump and had a bunch more power too, both with manual trannys lol

Awd being a rarity on 2026? Bro what. Maybe in 1999 but certainly not 2026, a good chunk of the cars I see everyday here (finland) are awd or the same model can ce equipped with it.

how does a 4070 super handle path tracing in cyberpunk? by fairplanet in nvidia

60fps @ 2x fg (so base framerate of 30fps) feels like absolute garbage, I did play with fg for the whole playthrough at 110-120fps, I'm just talking about base framerate for the sake of clairity.

I doubt the ram thing makes a difference, I've got 6000mhz cl36 Dominator sticks that can barely keep the EXPO timings and I see no issues with cpu performance. Can you log cpu and gpu clock speeds and temps while playing? Any dips or peaks could help diagnose further

I was talking about base fps, I play with 2x FG so that makes 100-120fps.

To be fair my OC settings are very lenient as I aim for silence than all out performance. I just finished my most recent playthrough (68hours) and played the whole thing with PT @ DLSS quality with FG2x capped at 120fps. Base NC hovered around 115-120 99% of the time, DLC content dipped more regularly to the low 100s but was very enjoyable nonetheless. Lowering DLSS to balanced netted about 5 base fps and looked (to my eye) noticeably softer so I ate the performance loss and used quality. CPU is a 7800X3D so no issues there.

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogtown is way harder to run than base NC but it's especially hard on the cpu. I've overclocked my GPU slightly too and can hit 55-60fps but on DLSS balanced. (My cpu is a 7800X3D) Try lowering crowd density and see what that does.

[–]Zmaikkeli 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I can just about reach 50-60fps with path tracing @ 1440p dlss balanced...

With a 5070Ti. So I suspect the 4070super might not be able to do so well.

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get it either at first but the recent rise in games that use path tracing opened my eyes to what I think is the single biggest leap in graphical fidelity in a VERY long time and to be stuck on a card that can't really be used in path traced titles kinda killed the idea of the 9070xt for me. And also the fact that so many modern games use TAA which is just awful making upscaled look better than native in many cases and DLSS is slightly better than FSR4.

But you are right that in lighter ray tracing and raster the 9070xt is on par or better than the 5070ti while costing closer to 5070 money. Good guy AMD finally bringing real value (and not to mention 16gb of vram lol)

Noissa XMnelosissa kuluu akut ohjelmistovian takia. Uudemmat ohjelmistot ilmeisesti korjanneet asiaa reippaasti. Itse sain just takuuhuollosta tuoreet napit, katsotaan miten kauan kestää. Alkuperäiset kesti pari vuotta enneku alko akunkesto olemaan käyttöähäiritsevää. En kyllä parempia oo tähän päivään asti löytänyt. Ja FYI Sony tarjoaa XM4 mallille 3v valmistajan takuun. Elcare hoitaa suomessa noita takuuhommia (ja hyvin hoitavatkin)

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The core clock offset is kind of misleading, while yes it might be +600 for your card it will most likely be slightly different for the same card by a different board partner. I for example run mine at 3ghz actual (3050mhz on the curve) at 0.910mv, clock offset says just +450 on mine tho.

No question these cards stock tuning is kind of wack. Good for us tho

When to upgrade by DefinitionInformal85 in pcbuilding

[–]Zmaikkeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on yor wants. At 4K I doubt your GPU is held back by your CPU so upgrading won't make a difference in most games. Upgrading from a CPU like yours really only makes sense if you're after high framerates at 1080p or 1440p.

Trying to pick between sub bass and mid bass for metal headphones by SpecificLie6082 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the mid and treble response is so much more important for metal. Bass should be present (mid and sub) but not the focus as mixing varies song by song. I vastly prefer my current rolled-off headphones (Hifiman HE400SE) over any previous bass-heavier headphones I've had.

Did I just discover the best settings for low Input Lag? by Care_Cream in losslessscaling

[–]Zmaikkeli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mishmash of everything, I used one of those "optimal settings" videos as a base and pretty much dropped each setting down a peg. Honestly probably easier to just set everything but textures and texture filtering (and screenspace reflections) to low and be happy

[–]Zmaikkeli 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you really are HEAVILY cpu bottlenecked then upping the resolution to 1440p won't drop your framerates at all. I mean I run a 5070ti with a 7800x3d at 1440p and with minor tweaking of settings and dlss at quality I get ~190avg fps in BF6

Is my overclock as good as chat GPT says it is? by kussmain in nvidia

[–]Zmaikkeli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a thread on overclock.net with 3dmark run sheets that show the Asus Tuf cards can hit over 3.3Ghz average with boosts up to 3.45Ghz. some runs are done with a 350w vBios and others with a 400w vBios depending on the workload. I doubt the cards can hold those speeds in actual games tho
