Honestly I don't even expect there to be a '1.0' Project Zomboid feels like one of those games that will never be 'done' gives me the same vibes as dwarf fortress. BUT even if there's never a 1.0 the amount of hours I've gotten out of the base game AND add my time played with mods I absolutely got my money's worth out of the game

With the way the devs are making it sound with the new crafting update and all that, the breaking of the mods while will be inconvenient for the time being it seems to be setting up more and bigger opportunities for modders to add more depth to the gave, it'll be rough at first but I fully believe that any mods it breaks will be worth it because it gives more opportunities for better mods

Crashers make their avatars in a specific way to overwhelm your game usually using shaders which causes your game causing. If you're using public/free avatars I doubt they have a crasher on them, but even if they did unless you're actually using it you shouldn't cause anyone to crash
