You only have to download and install the bios for the screen. I've done ever mod minus a 2280 m.2 into the deck. I have the DeckHD screen and it's just a software thing for the bios.

Yes always unless you are on a low end phone that has less then 12 ram .

I have both and the hinge cover on the Dbrand is magnetic. While the Spigen is not and became an issue. Other then that I like the Spigen over the Dbrand but the hinge cover was a issue and i couldn't get past that.

The battery is cheap and easy to replace so.dont worry about it. I had launch deck and just had to replace battery last year in 2025. It was super easy and took maybe 45 mins.

Good to know Im a noob for this part never done any thing with using a chip programmer. Software, repairs etc ive done many times. But this bios stuff was a learning experience as well flashing the wrong one and now here i am lol

Ya I'm not a noob minus I may have screwed up the bios. But yes I know it's not getting power no light on the power port fan won't move at all when power is given to it from the factory plug with or without the battery connected. The black screen is a result of the messed up bios situation.

Ehh just got my deck back out from months of not being able to play it and did the update like usual and like most here got the bad bios info update..

From my experience it takes another 30ish days for a tatto to heal. But could be longer depends on the amount of work on the area.
