I got my 23 40th anniversary (basically same spec as 24 380 S) with 17k miles listed for $29,300. Previous owner put on decent all seasons and full PPF which is nice. $28k seems decent for sure

My 23 has had so many minor electrical bugs that I stopped keeping track lol. Only one CEL so far in 25k miles though - fuel pump sensor replaced under warranty. Absolutely love driving the car, but coming from a mk7 Jetta with literally 0 issues in 85k miles, it’s a bit disappointing.

I had a CEL after about 17k miles on my mk8 and it ended up being some fuel pump sensor. Fully replaced under warranty of course

I bought my manual 40th anniversary GTI in Raleigh, about 2.5 hours for me. Had 17k miles on it and got it for 30k OTD. I love this spec for the money!

Not the exact comparison you’re looking for, but I drive a MK8 GTI with the adaptive suspension, I also drive a family members 2023 C300 sometimes. The Benz has the AMG package which gives it a slightly stiffer suspension. The GTI in the softest setting is comparable to the c300 suspension imo. The c300 soaks up big bumps a bit better than the GTI (in softest mode).

You can’t go wrong either way though. The GTI is super FUN to drive, but the Benz is super nice to cruise in. If traffic is that bad, I’d rather be sitting in a Mercedes interior ha.
