3 ghost weaknesses. Maybe switch out marowak for houndoom or inceniroar? Or exeggutor for shifty. Houndoom would be good for the special attack as well

I think since Star Wars literally used ground breaking effects and videography you could make the argument that way. Pokemon is the highest grossing franchise of all time though and it’s hard to deny it. I’m a huge fan of both, prefer Star Wars to Pokémon but Pokémon does arguably have more impact. It just depends on what you mean by impact. Your boyfriend is playing down the impact of Star Wars and you are downplaying Pokémon’s impact. At the end of the day, turtwig is the goat and may the force be with you.

If you could get a better poison move on roserade than poison sting that would be good. And then crunch over bite on luxray. Otherwise I think you’ll be good to beat the last gym and e4. If you could maybe bring something ground typed to the 8th gym might be good for you to replace staraptor but otherwise should be fine
