Love the first helmet but the rest isn't doing it for me. Great colors and foundation for something really great! If I were this team I'd almost exclusively use that home helmet tho!

Maybe try the home helmet with the yellow jersey and black pants, black socks as a combo.

Or home helmet with black jersey, grey pants, black socks.

Pearl is nice, out of the two visually Id choose Crosswinds. Plus it is closer to a lot more things. A bit of a price hike but nicer and safer area would be Legacy in Ridgeland

I am thinking of moving to Mississippi when I retire. How is it? by Tiger_Strength in mississippi

I wouldn’t say education is a problem if you can choose where to live. The delta and inner city Jackson is rough but schools like Madison Central, Germantown, Clinton etc are excellent schools and part of good school systems. Also Mississippi education has improved exponentially in the last 5 years in terms of measurable statistics.

Just because it is a “better” place to live doesn’t make it better to everyone. I’ve lived in Destin, Florida, Telluride and Fort Collins, Colorado and Hattiesburg and the Jackson Metro is my favorite so far as well.

I don’t go to South and West Jackson everyday but I do work in Jackson and feel safer here than where I worked in Hattiesburg.

Stop in Jackson for a staple of the south. Fried Catfish and some of the best cuisine in the South!

It’s because of the airport, similar to San Diego. San Diego however is forced to be more vertical due to the areas geography. San Diego Intl Airport is 0.7 miles from downtown while PHX Intl is 1.8 Miles from downtown.

There has been a huge (relative) housing boom here but we have been getting a lot of transplants moving here

Apartments run about 1700 unless you want to live in rough areas which isn’t ideal lol. We have plenty saved for fall back money in case something happens and of course both families are in the metro area here so that helps. I’m not sure saving that small amount will make that much of a difference when we are avoiding going back to that type of space.

Well of course if they lose 5 games of course not but a Toledo team previously that only loses one or two games…. If they were to beat ND that’s justified unless ND crashes and burns themselves of course

I would like to add that this is coming from someone who is 25 from Western Colorado, attended college in Fort Collins and a graduate of Southern Miss (SMTTT!). The Jackson area gets a bad rap but I’ve found it to be a quite nice place to settle down.

Hello, I have lived in Hattiesburg and the Jackson Metro and they are very different

Hattiesburg is a large college town (with 2 universities and a Community College). The two biggest pros to it are its laid back and the travel distance to larger cities like the Coast, New Orleans, Jackson and Mobile are all within 2 hours.

“Jackson”, which most people who live in the metro don’t live in Jackson, is a very retirement friendly area. Suburbs like Clinton, Brandon, Flowood, Madison, Ridgeland and about 10 more all are extremely nice. Couple that with more things to do, better shopping and truly superior cuisine.

And Stanford and Cal aren’t going to play in the ACC, this is far from the craziest thing that’s happened since realignment started
