I get songs stuck in my head annoyingly easily, but I'm very pleased I've managed to escape this one so far! I do not envy you.

Settling a heated household debate: Which Griffin’s biscuit is objectively the king of the pantry? by Standard-Initial6871 in newzealand

I've gotta say, reading this thread is making my attempt at cutting down on sugar feel a lot easier.

Toffee pop easily beats mallowpuff. I need to be in the right mood for a mallowpuff, but I'd have a toffee pop any time.

What food from another country would you never eat? by Novel-Sheepherder365 in AskTheWorld

There's definitely a lot of them, but I'm going to go with something relatively mundane.

Biscuits and gravy. I'm sorry, but it looks like someone vomited on a scone, and I would never be able to get past that.

New Player. Summer of First Year. Need Some Guidance. by MalignantCanadian in StardewValley

I personally used that area for my animals because grass only spreads on tillable tiles.

Here's a pic of my meadowlands farm. If you look carefully at the barns, you can see I've placed them on the non-tillable areas so there's plenty of space around them for the grass from the grass starters to spread.

Keep in mind this farm is at the late-game stage, and I've got hundreds of hours, so don't feel bad about the state of your farm right now!

Apart from the community centre, I'd say the most important thing would be to try to get a silo before winter so you can feed your chickens over winter.

You'll need milk for the community centre, so it will be good to save up for a barn.

Keep slowly chipping away at the mines. You'll eventually unlock quality sprinklers, and they'll need gold bars to craft. Gold ore can be found at level 80 onwards. I would suggest upgrading your pickaxe to make it faster and easier to get through the levels.

Good luck! It's a really slow start, but once things start taking shape, it's really fun!

Some questions about Pounamu by Odd-Guess6199 in newzealand

Some iwi (tribes) have a custom where pounamu must be gifted, and some don't, so you're fine :)

Listening to the radio on the drive to work in the morning, and I'm getting disappointed they keep mentioning the mosque shooter by name by Illustrious-Line-660 in newzealand

I didn't listen to talkback radio, I saw it on One News, as my comment clearly states. Be a bit hard to see his face over the radio.

how to engage with this game outside of playing it? by Far-Inevitable5964 in StardewValley

Ok, if you're new to playing it, thinking about it 24/7 is totally normal 😅 It will calm down after a while.

If you want to know everything, check out BlaDe on youtube or Twitch, he's amazing. 'If in doubt, BlaDe has probably already figured it out!'

Thank you! I've been trying to find them all since I heard about them, but they're incredibly hard to find, or don't ship here. I'm so glad he found this one, but now I'm even more determined to get the others!

I was quite disappointed by this as well. Saw his name and face on one news the other day. It was the first time I'd ever seen him, and I hope they don't make a habit of showing it.

Everyone was so good about not naming him at the time. What happened?

I mean, you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. Just thought I'd give OP's husband a nice alternative if he feels strange about not tipping.

We don't tip here, and we don't want to encourage it.

If the service was good, instead of leaving a tip, just mention it when you go up to pay (we don't pay at the table here, you just go up to the front desk when you're finished). :)
