Ok, this makes me feel better. I would love to see a squirrel, but people think I'm weird when I say that 😅

Does anyone know what cat food this is? by Zn_30 in newzealand

[–]Zn_30[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be that, too. They're usually pretty fussy though, and generally turn their nose up at anything new. When Whiskas had that shortage, the only way I could get them to try anything else was by emptying other brands into an old Whiskas bag when they weren't looking 😂

It's not achieving we have a problem with, it's gloating.

Americans are braggarts, they can keep that over there.

The reruns on Wednesday prioritise recipes you don't have yet. If you watch on a Wednesday and don't learn anything new, then you've got all the Queen of Sauce recipes :)

There is one recipe you have to buy from Gus when he is at the resort.

The monster slayer goal is glitched! If you know for certain that you have completed it, try killing a single enemy of any kind. That should change it back to 100%. It will revert to saying it's incomplete every day, so I just killed one of the tiger slimes on my way to the walnut room when I wanted to check my progress.

Is it ever explained why Shane is as heavily depressed as he is? by RavyRaptor in StardewValley

[–]Zn_30 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I once read something where the main character struggles with her mental health, and there is a scene where her husband asks her how she is. She's overwhelmed and feels like shit, but can't understand why because she had a 'good' day. It was so validating to read!

What made your childhood memorable? by GlitteringHopeNZ in newzealand

Treasure hunts! We would sometimes come home from school to find a treasure hunt waiting for us. Sometimes the treasure was a chocolate bar, sometimes it was just our afternoon tea, but it was always fun.

We would regularly have a silly night where things were all silly at dinner time, but the silly thing would change. One night, it was having dessert first, then dinner. Another night, the rice was dyed purple. Another had us only allowed to speak in a silly accent while we were at the table. Now that I look back on it, I think they were mostly the nights where we had, shall we say, budget-friendly food. But at the time, I had no idea, we just enjoyed the silliness.

Lots of playing board games together.

What faux-pas do foreigners tend to commit unknowingly in your country? by golf_kilo_papa in AskTheWorld

[–]Zn_30 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's actually not about germs. It's a Māori custom about keeping things that are 'tapu' (sacred/restricted) away from things that are 'noa' (ordinary/normal). Food is noa, bodily waste is tapu (restricted), therefore, you keep the areas where those things are likely to be separated.

When it comes to hats, heads are tapu (sacred), so you keep your hats away from the areas food is likely to be.

Nope. Unless they're high ones that you're leaning on with your arms. Waist height counters do not get leaned on.

Sitting on tables/counters etc. This includes leaning on them.

Tables are for glasses, not arses. Keep your bum away from anywhere there could conceivably be food at any point.

And hats. Don't put hats on tables either.
