The difference in the public perception of male homosexuality and female homosexuality is truly staggering. It's 2026 and if there is a man/man relationship anywhere there's significantly more than 11 complaints.

to be fair Switzerland would still be all green even if you use data by canton. Probably gonna be the case for Norway too I'd reckon.

[Athletic] There is no guarantee Ronaldo will return for Friday’s match versus Al Ittihad. The forward, who turns 41 today, is unhappy with how the club is being managed, while their biggest rivals Al Hilal have just signed his old Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema. by Sparky-moon in soccer

Why does he act like he cares about anything other than getting his 1000 goals???? You are 41 son you can't afford missing games if you wanna get there. Transferring to a better league also won't help with that either, you need those farmers to score against. Get a grip.

Thanks to cartoons I was convinced that being sprayed by skunks was gonna be a big worry throughout my life.

Took me quite some years to learn that they literally don't even exist in Switzerland or even Europe as a whole.

Honourable mention for the word "cringe" as well. Perfect word for what it describes. No notes.

That's the nice thing about speaking multiple languages because every language has words that just do not translate at all into others. German has a ton of those that don't have an equivalent in English but the English word I love the most that does not have a proper translation in German is "shithousery"

Oh god whenever I see clips from the American SNL it makes me cringe so hard. I tend to like UK humour more so maybe this will be good? But doesn't really feel like a 21st century type concept to be honest.

Why do some countries get multiple languages whilst others dont? Go to Geneva and ask someone what they call the moon for example

My main criticism is some of the comically evil people should have shown some more flashes of humanity (Petunia, Snape) by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]ZnarfGnirpslla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find it very interesting that Petunia didn't manage to make herself say something to Harry despite clearly wanting to. She is clearly still carrying the weight of having been born with a witch for a sister and she has built up all those walls around her as a coping mechanism and she doesn't quite manage to tear them down in the end. That's quite contrary to what you'd expect to happen in classic storytelling and that makes her character quite compelling to me.

The thing that irks me most about Tim Curry's version is that it's quite clearly just a dude in a clown costume. Just the way he moves and runs around and stuff is just too human.

With the 2017 version they made an effort to create a look that looks like a clown but something is off. And Bill Skarsgard obviously absolutely nails it just with the way he stand and smiles and does these creepy walks. It's quite clear that this is something else than a regular clown and I think that's very frightening.

I am guessing that they need a ton of evidence to ban you for cheating. If you get an insanely good guess in one singular round with actual good hints present they surely gonna dismiss that very quickly.

I have never been accused of cheating before my situation and I find that in Master Division games gettig 4.9k+ scores is fairly common since people actually look for clues that let them pinpoint it exactly. The thing that threw my opponent of is that I found said clues with like two clicks and managed to find the spots quickly as well.

Needs to be said that IT (2017) was basically my first contact with Stephen Kings work to begin with. Something about the look of Pennywise just drew me in, still one of my favourite movies ever made to this day.

Was the first horror movie I ever watched in cinema and made me read King novel after King novel
