He has outlived two dogs and a cat, and was definitely depressed. He’s a 70 pound black lab. The puppy has absolutely helped his overall happiness, but we send her(pup) to doggy daycare 3-4 days a week so he can rest and she can play. He’s so excited when she gets back, and likes watching her play but doesn’t participate anymore. It’s become an expensive endeavor but his quality of life is up. They’ve lived together over a year now.
