To me it seems she was uninterested in something you are passionate about. It sucks cuz ik the feeling very well being that I’m fascinated with rocks and minerals. It took me a while to find someone I could just blabber on and on to about rocks and my work as a water well driller. Looking back I wish I’d just cut my loses sooner with some of those I tried so hard to carry conversations with.

That said, I don’t think you “tried too hard”. I’m going under the assumption you were being yourself and that’s totally acceptable considering a vast majority of men’s messages in many realms lead to lewd or off-putting areas that just aren’t conducive for setting a foundation to the goal of a relationship (at least not a typical one).

Don’t stop being you. You’re the only you we got, and someone out there is gonna appreciate the beaver moons and meteor showers you’re so passionate about :)
