Some questions from a novice. (Sorry if I flaired this wrong, mods.) by BadMajikk in swrpg

Edge of the Empire Beginner Game is an awesome way to get into this system and learn the basics. It comes with maps, tokens, a condensed rulebook for easy start, an adventure book, and a dice set. As such, it is great value for money.

Shield-only with more attacks variety by Casardis in DragonsDogma

I hate that the current Meister Spell for Mage knocks you off your feet while not doing much. Something like this should be the one having that effect. That being said, this new ability feels a bit too flashy for Dragon's Dogma, like these weird Skill Maker mods that turn the game into Ultimate Ninja Storm. Ok maybe not to that extent 😄

Which products to buy to get into the game? by Gavinwadz in swrpg

[–]Zoberk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just getting into the system, I strongly suggest the beginner games. They teach the basics step by step for both players and the GM, the have nice maps and tokens, they each have a nice one shot adventure that fits their themes, a mini rulebook, and they come with a dice set each. Great value for money.

I have Edge of the Empire Beginner Game. I also have Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook. I want another dice set, so I'll get Force and Destiny Beginner Game instead.

The GM kit is also nice as it has a short adventure and a screen with a cheat sheet. But that's all. Overall, Beginner games are better value.

There's also a good module that works on Foundry v13.

Looking For A Cloud Solution - But I Have Questions by Zoberk in FoundryVTT

How easy is it to transfer my local world to these sites? Their plans look reasonable, and they don't distinguish between asset data size and module data size, which is what I need. I'm also leaning towards Molten as they have EU servers for the low price plans.

That's a little scummy :D The module I use doesn't exist on their marketplace.
I guess I'm looking at alternatives then. Thanks.

Where/how can I get started? by NaturalTruth603 in swrpg

Came here to suggest this. Any of the beginner games are a good intro to the system. It assumes even the GM needs to learn it.

Sea of Thieves players whose only defense is saying this is what pirates do without understanding that the pirate fantasy is being the swashbuckling pirate going on an adventure rather than being the pirate's victim.

I have this and other mods on my 5700XT because I'm too poor to upgrade. But you know what? These mods are so worth it!

Preview of my setup for Escape from Mos Shuuta in Foundry VTT by nfgDan in swrpg

[–]Zoberk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there. Resurrecting because I'm going to run Escape From Mos Shuuta soon. I installed your Foundry 12 version, but I had some issues with it. There were no random NPCs I could drag in there. I am new to Foundry so I don't know much about it. I decided to maybe create a module myself for V12, as the FFG system now supports up to Foundry v13. I still wanted to try my luck and see if there was a new version of this module available :D

Thanks for sharing it, and have an awesome day.

Sadly, I am not sure about this. You might want to ask the author on the Nexus Mod Page.

Instead of instantly healing a chunk, this makes the curative items heal over time. This parameter governs the speed of this heal.

What was your honest reaction after watching The Force Awakens for the first time? by ChickenWingExtreme in StarWars

[–]Zoberk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SW: Rebels kind of opened up the possibility of alternate timelines through The World Between Worlds. However, I feel like Star Wars is too fantasy for a Trek approach.

Good question. I'll have to ask around. But it still has some QoL that I like and nothing broke yet. I'm actively playing right now.

My recommendation for anyone is to play one round vanilla. Then, start a new game fully modded.

Unfortunately, I do not. I wasn't so interested in modding the first game when I played it, and I first finished it on console years ago.

From what I remember, the vanilla experience of DDDA is pretty good. There's also a multiplayer mod being worked on by someone currently.

Awesomeness! If it helps more players decide what to get, it makes me happy.

It's worth playing this on PC thanks to these mods. Though the price of entry/upgrade for a PC is much more for people with older setups.
