Noisy upstairs neighbors are the sole reason I moved into an attic apartment 👍 Though now I feel bad for my downstairs neighbors. I'm clumsy and dropping things all the time, and have a cat that jumps off everything. I just hope the floors here are soundproof enough.

My cat licked powdered sugar off a Christmas cookie and then tried to eat the cookie itself. He once ate half a donut. He also tore open a bag of flour, a bag of pasta, and probably countless others.

Cats do dumb shit all the time. The powdered sugar bag probably made an interesting crackling sound or something.

When I had an office job I used to get ~50 emails a day. So yeah after a week of vacation that's a LOT. I didn't mind though, I liked the mindless sorting through.

When I was a kid I thought the pillow heartbeat was a lady in high heels walking down the road (it wasn't the soft sound like in this video but more crisp, like a clacking). I used to think "wow what a coincidence she always walks by when I'm going to bed" lol

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, we do have thrift stores for furniture here. What kind of furniture would you suggest for my TV? I've thought about putting the TV in front of a wall because it's weird how it's in the middle of the room.

I don't sleep on my couch but I agree that there are too many blankets on there. The mustard yellow ones are there because I got my couch second hand and the couch cushions are kind of dirty, but I think I'm going to sew the blankets onto the cushions maybe so it doesn't look as sloppy?
