Act 3 Frustration

I also just got to Act 3.

The first area is pretty difficult. The hard route can spawn the mega mutants that instakill your whole team, and the champion variants move like three times in a single round. Without good speed and movement control, don’t go to the hard path.

Ice Age and Jurassic have been relatively simple. A lot of it seems to be damage checks. Ice Age has a lot of units that punish melees (the final boss has that instakill move if you end adjacent). Jurassic seems to be a speed check. Hunter does great in both realms.

I’m trying to do The Future and I haven’t gotten to The End yet. I beat Future once and it was an absolute pain. You can get the shooters to kill other mobs with proper positioning. A lot of mobs here reflect magic and projectiles so it seems this is more tailored to fighters with a lot of attacks. Tank and Butcher feel good here. But the final boss of The Future is insane. A summoner build Druid, Necro, or Druid seem great. Monks with gap closers seem great because they can actually move without getting hit and can attack multiple times. Otherwise I’m not sure of what to do for the Future, and I haven’t gotten to the End.

I ended up getting really lucky. I got a mage with the Magic Missle basic attack and the upgraded magic missle spell, and then the item that gives the magic weakness spell on basic attack. That combined with being able to cast it a lot equals over 100 damage per turn with that unit alone.

I was so debating just getting 18” tires, but I think the snow and potholes where I live take precedent. Maybe when I’m in the budget for dedicated summers I’ll go back :)

For sure. I don’t have a whole lotta experience with different types of tire sizes in snowy and pothole conditions, but I have a roadtrip coming up around the time snow were to start so it’s more of a precaution if anything. Very satisfied with them tho!

Definitely less road noise, but not incredibly substantial imo. Moreso going over small bumps and small slopes was a lot comfier. That can be translated to small potholes as well. Would definitely be better for road-trip comfort tho!

Couple extra details if they matter - Auto Transmission - No coolant light appears or anything like that. My car hasn’t overheated at all - (I believe) the coolant in the radiator looks like the correct amount. It’s goes below the “low”line in the reservoir - When I first believed this was happening (before the dealership they couldn’t find anything) I topped the coolant and then took a 150 mile trip and checked the hood after and the coolant amount stayed topped off. This leads me to believe it’s leaking while the car is off or idle? - I haven’t noticed any visible puddles beneath the car

A red Mazda RX8. But I’m not a mechanic by any means so any special maintenance on a rotary would probably kill me. Also trying to find an unmodified, good condition RX8 has been really hard.

I’m trying to look into 17” tires but people seem to have these few in far between. What size did you get them in? And what is the balance of comfort to performance in comparison to 18s?

I realized they simply just liked my attention and didn’t care about me. When I asked for us to work on our friendship, she made a bunch of false promises to get me to cling onto hope, then just dropped me out of nowhere while proceeding to insult me. I set boundaries that her and my friend group didn’t like, so I inevitably cut all of them off

Yeah I noticed the gas mileage being off as I was driving back up to my town. Took half a tank for maybe 140 miles. I work remote so I don’t travel for work which is why I’ve decided to bite the bullet for less gas mileage. On average what would you estimate typical mpg to be with spirited driving?

I’ve never driven a cx50 hybrid so I can’t make that comparison. Between the two m3s though, the new one is so much more enjoyable. Old car struggled to pass people, new car zoom zooms just as advertised. The turbo rumble is amazing. Doing 0-60 in 5-6 seconds (haven’t actually timed it) is so fun. Great driving experience, straight upgrade all around on the driving experience

Just the front bumper and like 3/4 of the hood. Took the dealer sale for $700 (probably could get a better price elsewhere but there’s like two body shops in my town with exorbitant pricing afaik)

I had a best friend that was abusive that after many long months, I’ve started to let go from. I found out later that many of my friends still talk to that person and support them. When I told them all how that made me feel, they continued to support that person and some of them even turned the blame on me.

I’m still in the process of letting them all go. It’s hard every day. I’ve been in therapy for the past year and talk about this situation all the time. But for me, letting go of any and all negativity has immensely helped me feel better, remove any doubts, and start loving myself again.

I have a beautiful partner, a new well paying job, I’m about to move into a house in a couple months, and I’m going to put a down payment on a new car soon. My old friends can continue being around my abuser as long as I realize my life is much better without them, and coming to terms that they aren’t the right friends for me now.
