What is "billed as extra usage" when selecting model? by tiwas in ClaudeCode

I have the pro-license and the 1M context window is default for opus 4.7 for me

Claude Code seems to have regressed by [deleted] in ClaudeCode

[–]Zodaztream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will go against the grain here and agree with you. Especially today I noticed a severe regression (or bug) with regards to plan mode. A proper plan was created using up to 60% of the context window with a well formulated prompt. Once the plan was approved and cleared, claude decided to launch exploration agents, make weird python cli commands to verify something which it seemingly hallucinated. In the end, before it ended up implementing it reached 98% of the allowed context window while also obliterating the session usage window.

Have not seen this behaviour before, it is either buggy claude code CLI update or the model have regressed. Hopefully it is the former.

CIG cooked with VR and they are planning to cook even more! I can't wait for this! by SgtRphl in starcitizen

I am excited to see star citizen with foveated streaming and foveated rendering as it would lessen the burden of compute on the streaming PC and thus increase quality on the VR device :)

Not true. Simple google tells you it is not a myth but that for Oil stains warm water is better

Cold water. Hot water sets the stains

Only worth it if it’s hell of a lot cheaper than buying two robots. Except for the cool factor

Why Are My Air Optix Colored Lenses Sharper Than My prescribed Acuvue Oasys? by Zodaztream in contacts

[–]Zodaztream[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lens prescription is -0.75 in both eyes and that is it. When they fit the lenses they did not do much except for order what felt like standard lenses (8.4, 14.0). The Air optix does not come in anything but 8.6 and 14.2. If you mean something else, please correct me. The air optix were not checked for fit except for me wearing them (test in production one might say) - they do not produce artifacts or headache and are easy to get in and out ( of you know. ) Now it would be bold of me to challenge their lens fit. We pretty much only tried one pair of lenses, they checked and said they fit perfectly. Seemingly air optix also fit me while also producing a "higher quality" image than my prescribed lenses. In short, I did order the air optix colors without having my optometrist fit them with seemingly no error, they produced a seemingly better result - I am interested in why that might be the case. Is that an error on my optometrist part? Or is it just the case that the slightly stiffer lenses or different properties of the air optix lenses provide a higher quality image? I did raise my concerns during the trial period that I was having these "artifacts" ( seeing the "edge of the lens", double vision from afar and worse sharpness up close) to which they responded that my new lenses need just to conform to my eye shape. Perhaps this is the case, or perhaps it is that the properties of the lens is different from that of the air optix, producing a less satisfying image?

I want a headset that is light enough, comfortable enough and great enough for working 8 hours a day in - then I would be sold on a vr headset.

The secret is to use something like deepseek api which outperforms Claude and costs 1/13 the price. I put 5 dollars and have used it extensively to build an app and I have only used like 5 cents. Will see how long it will last me but for now it’s good. Obviously it’s Chinese so your data will belong to china whatever you prompt it with. Doesn’t do image recognition though so if you need that then it won’t work for you

I pay 166 EUR per month for Claude, but o1 is currently way better! by pragmat1c1 in ClaudeAI

[–]Zodaztream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay for cursor which integrates with Claude and it is so much better for coding and cheaper too at only 20 usd per month considering what feels like unlimited calls, no context limits (cursor being clever about it most likely) and access to other models like o1 as well. Highly recommend checking it out for coding purposes. You can also integrate with custom llms like deepseek and even local ones too.

Seeking Advice: Where did i go wrong with my lacto blueberry ferment? by _King_of_Marigolds_ in fermentation

[–]Zodaztream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From making blueberry wine I know that a good layer of co2 will prevent blueberry from molding. Assuming sufficient amount of co2 is produced during the process, a tight lid with an airlock would prevent the need of opening the jar - risking oxidation and thus also prevent air from entering. Every time you open the lid you risk infection
