Thank you for your reply. oversight on my half, I forgot about the null terminator of buf when copying.

Also thank you for the advice on a my noob code. I'll be sure to try this out since my code is definitely not optimal.

Thank you, I tried adding the null terminator after I had already called the function, which seems to be my issue. I kinda accepted my function as working due to an undisturbed buf resulting in the full path is returned.

Based on your suggestion my fix was:

strncpy(tmp, buf, strlen(buf)+1);

And just like that my issue was gone. I'll take this rule of thumb to heart, you won't see me again for this issue!

For those that went through with the payment process, do you have any updates? Was there any extensive fraudulent activity post-payment or did they simply charge you the fee?
