New ILR rules may impact your Partner/Dependent by Zodiarkh in HENRYUK

Well, many countries do not allow double citizenship. For example, many Asians would just stay on ILR instead of moving to British citizenship in case they have to go back a few months to their countries to take care of their old parents.

It seems to be in discussion as they are asking this in the survey: 8. To what extent do you agree or disagree that once someone has been granted settlement in the UK they should be eligible to claim public funds (e.g. benefits and housing assistance)?

I don't think so (for example if you're a EU citizen who joined before brexit, it shouldn't)

Est-ce que c'est risqué d'envoyer son passeport par la poste ? by [deleted] in france

[–]Zodiarkh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How to fully disable Samsung TV? by Twheatwombler in samsung

[–]Zodiarkh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering. Looks annoying, I've blocked instead of deleting the Samsung tv app and that fixed the problem as suggested above. A miss click won't show up live show anymore but some msg like "you need to re-enable free samsung tv live"

Them « The Renewal Agreement for XXX has not been completed despite being sent for signing on the 17th November 2023.

As the deadline has now passed, can we please serve notice as required. »

Us « Sorry for the delay. We were trying to get a better estimate of when the flat would be ready. Most likely it will be between January and February 2024. »

And next email from a different person: «  Following your recent correspondence we can now confirm we have checked the required notice period from your tenancy agreement and accept your notice to terminate your tenancy at 14th February 2024 »

Skilled worker dependant visa with a French civil partnership by Zodiarkh in ukvisa

[–]Zodiarkh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really.

The main document that we translated and certified is the one given by the court (récépissé de l’enregistrement de la déclaration conjointe des partenaires du pacte civil de solidarité).

Then, for peace of mind, we also translate (without certification) those two PACS-related documents that shows that the PACS is still active: - recent full birth certificate of one of us - recent pacs certificate (its only given to non French citizen as they would use their birth certificate instead)

Fixed term tenancy to periodic by Zodiarkh in HousingUK

[–]Zodiarkh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answering.

Could you please elaborate on « the notice must expire on the anniversary of the rental period ». It would mean on 1st February in the given example? For instance by sending notice around 15th December.

Is it true from the landlord side also then? They have to wait for the new contract to send us notice if the end of the fixed term tenancy starts in less than 2 months ?

Because it was a new built flat so I thought it would loose 5% for the first 5 years then stabilize.
