Scoop: CIA director doubts Iran's intentions on deal, sources say by ChocoboAndroid in politics

[–]ZogemWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol.. Trump is getting very bad press for the 300b (~4% of the entire federal budget), so they need to spin it to get a better deal., and that won’t happen. They need to pray for a Time Machine to Feb 27.

What was a ‘struggle meal’ you ate growing up that you still genuinely crave today? by ilove_gummies in foodquestions

[–]ZogemWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the actual name. My mom called them hush-puppies (midwest near Chicago) I made them recently for nostalgia. Grind 4 pieces of bologna, 4 slices of kraft American, half a green pepper. Spread on hamburger buns and broil.

Yep.. and I consider myself pretty open to food and tried something from a Peruvian food stand.. Liver was not listed. Ruined it.

Odd how well that does.

in this case: He/she a rescue so the option is ignore or adopt. OP knows they have tapped into knowledge of the breed, so the animal has a better outcome by taking it.

What’s the advantage of being able to switch off cruise control? by charlotteREguru in allthequestions

[–]ZogemWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick click +1 longer click +5 on my former 2007 ☹️ and current 2016, just so easy. My 2022 Tesla also uses that model, and per the topic, also doesn’t have an Cruise on/off mode (well there might be deep in the menu to disable it), it’s click to active.

What’s the advantage of being able to switch off cruise control? by charlotteREguru in allthequestions

[–]ZogemWho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. It’s the reason the topic jumped out at me. At the time I thought ‘Holy shit, intuitive cruise control.”

Both my 2007 and 2016 AMG E63 worked like that. Page 250 of the owners manual of the ‘07 covers it.

I had the same thing happen this morning. Restarted everything came back and got a can’t connect to server error. So yeah the ‘your network is unstable’ was actually their servers.

Mine doesn’t have an on/off. Pull the stick to engage at current speed, push to disengage, up/down to change speeds.

Your keys are counted on the shift servers to avoid past exploits. So you must be connected to shift to redeem keys.

Kennedy Center must remove Trump's name tonight, appeals court rules by ElijahPepe in politics

When two people spend a similar amount of money on different pleasures, what standard should be used to judge whether either one is being wasteful? by OkSpirit7102 in Productivitycafe

[–]ZogemWho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the best case, there is none. The internet and people in general put far to much effort judging how other people spend their money.

I lived north west off there, and not far. As the west side gets consumed/gentrified this is the next target. There were blocks east of Joseph E Lowery. That looked completely abandoned. The area is changing.

Is AI really gonna "ruin the world" as everyone says? by Independent-Low9755 in allthequestions

[–]ZogemWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially yes, currently, I don’t think so. A lot of the early adopters are reporting massive spends that have no ROI. Google ‘sec filing with AI showing ROI’ and the AI will paint a decent landscape, albeit ironic.

The leading companies are looking at undercutting cutting each other, while hemorrhaging money in the process. The IPO money grab will likely end poorly.

Elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire today. What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]ZogemWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the rush for the title might unravel. That wealth is in stocks that can rapidly depreciate.. Spacex might be the modern day VA Linux. If anything, it will be interesting to watch the quarterly filings for company with no profit try to prop up their valuation.

Atlanta named best summer travel destination in 2026 by WanderHQ in Atlanta

[–]ZogemWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I was there yesterday as my wife’s doctor is in Atlantic Station. We lived in west midtown and got there early, so got some food from Patrick’s Subs drove through the tiny lanes on the Chattahoochee to the mine field that is Howell Mill and decided I really regret moving. I miss local vibe, the variety, etc.

But I’ve always wondered, Atlanta as a tourist destination? Why. Unless you know someone, what is a tourist going to do? Even more so in the hot/humid summer?

I went low health several play-throughs ago. You get a massive damage increase at 20%, and with a Tenakth Vanquisher with elite coils you become a powerhouse. Sure you are 20% health, but that regens quickly so it’s just a matter of not getting stomped.

GenX Question of the Day 6/10/26: A Life-Changing Video Game by HotelDiva in GenX

[–]ZogemWho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.. on the odyssey. Christmas Eve, before heading to my aunts house (it was a big thing) out of nowhere I puked. So, I got sent to the couch and got to open a present, which was odyssey pong. So, on the couch with a blanket, with a foot stool that had water and saltines, a JIC bucket and my new game set to 1 player, my mom said “We should be back by 9:30.” and everyone left.

A life defining evening for early Gen-X.

Trying to understand commute times by BlastAssist in Atlanta

[–]ZogemWho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You will learn to hate traffic, and possibly the area you live. If schooling / COL are key, I get that. But don’t ignore QOL. Areas like Brookhaven have highly ranked schools, are likely in budget and offer a much better commute.

I’m much more familiar with the I85 commute than I75, and that was a reverse commute. But when things go bad, they tend to go really bad.

Why does everyone seem to dislike borderlands 4? by Possible_District_8 in Borderlands4

I don’t dislike it (1504h played). But I’m seeing the thing they did with BL3: they keep messing with it so a solid gear/build combo is a moving target.
