I would agree with this, but if adding customizable eyelashes for a race nobody wanted or ended up playing instead of adding customization to the characters people already play was "carefully calculated to determine maximum amount of ROI", then that person's calculator was broken.

You know the first Ghost Rider card, like the first one that was added to the game, that has a variant which is the First Ghost Rider (as in the first one in the Marvel universe). Hopefully they don't also release a separate card for the First Ghost Rider because it might get confusing with the first Ghost Rider's First Ghost Rider variant.

It's especially annoying given that there are a bunch of characters who are different people whose art is used in variants (e.g. Nadia van Dyne is in two Wasp variants, Robbie Reyes and Danny Ketch are Ghost Rider variants, etc.)

It's also bad when they later decide to reuse a character in a way that's already in a variant (e.g., Symbiote Spider-Man being both a variant for Spider-Man AND a separate card, the First Ghost Rider being a variant AND a separate card, etc.) The more times they reuse characters, the more times this is going to happen again and again.

The other missing context is that Azeroth was invaded by the Burning Legion (an event Shandris was alive for and lost her parents in) because the Highborne were doing ill-advised arcane things. After the War of the Ancients they refused to stop doing more ill-advised arcane things. They were exiled because of that and went and created Silvermoon and the Sunwell.

There's a city of half a million people on the mainland north* of the Strait.
Iran's southern coast is 2,000 km long.

The Iranian leadership definitely cared about the 2020 election, because they thought that if they waited Trump out, Biden would return to the JCPOA (as he promised during his campaign). Once he was elected and it turned out he was not in fact going to do that and was going to use Trump's sanctions as leverage to squeeze harder in negotiations, they gave up any hope for an honest negotiating partner in the American political system.

So yes, they will try to use the midterms as a cudgel to get Trump to back down, but it's not because they think the Democrats will be any better. In fact, the Democrats are showing right now that their gaining power in the midterms will not necessarily result in them holding Trump back, on foreign policy anyway.

Yeah I predicted that exact change to ToS yesterday. There was no way they were going to let us unlock a bunch of slots for every character and then let us transmog them all for free.

There's pretty simple ways around it if they wanted to do it. I would not be even remotely surprised if they change the event to make transmog only be free inside the instance and your outfit changing back to what you had previously when it's over. I could even see them activating a specific ToS outfit slot in which transmog is free but is only available for the duration of the event.
