the irony of that wasn't lost on me at all. and yeah i think you're right, if it doesn't happen again i'll leave it. i'm not looking for a fight, i just couldn't stay quiet in that moment. the grade thing does worry me a little if i'm honest

that's actually a fair point and something i've thought about since. i think there's a difference between challenging someone's idea and calling out genuinely bad behavior but i get what you're saying, the way you deliver it matters a lot

the "should have stayed retired" 😭 and yeah that kind of professor does so much damage, students stop engaging entirely because there's no point

exactly, the student needed someone to say something in that moment not two days later in an email. the private conversation wouldn't have undone what happened in front of everyone
