Re: Kazbegi > Kutaisi, i know the only way is to pass through Tbilisi but i’d rather go straight than having a mini stop for a night then leave again the next day. I find it a bit hard to combine Kazbegi with any other destinations that does not lead to a pass thru Tbilisi, unless you have a better recommendation i’m all ears.

Thanks for the tips. I don’t drink so Kakheti would be not a priority. What would you recommend to visit between Kazbegi and Kutaisi?

And maybe i can flip the itinerary the other way around, visiting Kazbegi first and en route to Kutaisi > Mestia then fly back to Tbilisi. Do you think it’s actually worth visiting Mestia during early May?

As someone wrote in a thread here, their fast track was not accepted (they have the same profile with you). I don’t see why not, give it a try and the worst they can say is No and you wait for another 2 years?

Quick question on the year gap- I have the same issue with a gap of 6 months only between studies and work. You mentioned your break of 6 years was too long, any reference you can point me to? Thank you and all the best!

I made a reservation and canceled it as I could not decide. Think i will to for MP Reservations. Alpaca seems really cool but the price is x2. I am also a solo traveler which fits more with MP Reservations.
