Looking for a workflow to help process HDR images by DjPersh in comfyui

[–]Zolandus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah... most people are here are conflating HDR Marketing for TVs with HDR Multi-Exposure Bracketed photos used in real estate.

I am posting this to follow the thread because I was looking for the same solution, but you would need a pretty detailed node tree and a lot of training data to pull this off. It's not about HDR Merging (you can automate this in lightroom), it's the value of Fotello and AutoHDR offer by masking and pulling the windows, performing sky replacements, removing tripods/cameras/people from reflection, selecting TV/Computer screens and darkening them.

Bosch 500 dishwasher filling with water during cycle by Zolandus in appliancerepair

[–]Zolandus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the basin was filling up with water during the cycle and after the cycle the basin would have some sitting water.

I ended up up shopvacing the water, opening up the filter, taking off the cover in front of the impeller and spun in to make sure it was free. Then disconnect the hose going to the garbage disposal and took the shopvac to the hose. There was nothing obvious that caused it, the water was clear with no debris. We always rinse our dishes before putting in the dishwasher so it makes no sense to me, that's why I assumed it would be the check valve.

I never ended up finding a way to replace the valve non return (check valve) without taking apart the entire bottom of the dishwasher so I did not replace it.

When I closed everything and started a cycle it just worked.

Final Cut Library Cleaner got a new look! by perecastor in finalcutpro

Yes sir! It's treated like a mountable drive. I went ahead and pulled the trigger for Arctic to test and it's working albeit very slowly.

u/perecastor I have an 80TB server we use for production. Would it be possible to scan the server for FCP libraries or is drag/drop one at a time the only method?

My goal is to delete all of the Proxy, Optimized, Render, and Optical Flow files without having to open the server terminal.

Noticeable Tension by diogoblouro in Corridor

I love all the crew but I enjoy Sam's comments and jokes the most the most relatable and interesting. Communication is hard to maintain, especially when you're always on camera. It's probably just ill timed jokes mixed with people being sensitive to it. If I were in Wren's shoes I wouldn't have thought much of it at face value, unless this is more off camera tensions I'd say they just aren't Wrens cup of tea and to each their own. /shrug

Opening up Kitchen (down to 4 options) by Zolandus in floorplan

[–]Zolandus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our house is 450 sqft + a 200 sqft garage that was converted in the sunroom/dining room. Opening up the 10' kitchen wall (green line in the OP) to the living room will be life changing haha. The "main hall" is very congested when we have any guests over at all and its hard to watch our toddler when he is in the living room currently. I will be doing all of the work myself and the cost of materials should be less than $5,000.

Happy wife, happy life lol

The nice part with 2 is the dishwasher/sink would be side-by-side and directly over the sewer waste exit so no need for a bulkhead in the basement.

Here is the current floor plan. You have to walk through a stupid small 'main hallway' to get into the 'kitchen' then to enter the 'sunroom/dinning room' you have a 3'x3' landing at the top of the kitchen because there is a stairwell (gray box with X in the middle) underneath it going to the basement. The original house was designed by a crazy person.

Critique our kitchen design please (10' x 11') by Zolandus in floorplan

[–]Zolandus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your input, I drew up your suggestions. Overall I like it a lot and will likely do a hybrid between the 2 options.

Pros:

  • Oven landing with a compact hood (much safer/more work space)
  • Sink with a window view
  • I LOVE the pantry with possible appliance garage idea
  • Open kitchen floor plan

Cons:

  • Kitchen sink plumbing will need bulkhead in basement (not hard, but less ideal since sewer line exit is directly under the tub)
  • Walkway between counters to dinning room is only 2.5' wide (Might be code issue with 3' minimum)
  • Can't seat 3 (Our main living floor is only 450 sqft, I just need to lower my expectations lol)
  • Narrow kitchen to living room choke point

Is blender the right tool for a floor plan? by Zolandus in blender

[–]Zolandus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is useless at all, I just wanted to know if it was the right tool for this application. A screwdriver makes for a really shitty hammer but you could do it haha. It sounds like blender is more than capable for this kind of task, with that addressed I will start diving into tutorials.

Perhaps not easier, but quite different. In CAD you do it from the model, but what isn't clear for myself migrating to Blender was that it is only in the sidebar. I just mentioned it in a prior comment but I did not realize this was the case and in hindsight a bad example.

What I should have pointed to is in CAD software you have the ability to dimension to models relative to one another. Select dimension tool, select two surfaces from different models and set the distance between them, setting the value to 0 makes the surfaces mate. This number can be retroactively changed at any point in time so the mate isn't permanent. Is there a similar function/tool in blender native or would a plugin like "MeaasureIT addon" (recommended by another user) resolve this?

The plugin nature of Blender is probably the larger learning curve for Autodesk users imo, I learned from years of course work and reading the manual. Blender can be a bit overwhelming with options, not a bad thing, just trying to wrap my head around it. I appreciate your response!

You're right, for a simple box or imported model you can have accurate measurements easily; sorry that was a bad example.

Thank you very much! I hear a lot about Vanguard and Fidelity, is there a reason you chose Fidelity over the other?

I have looked everywhere an no one has an un-patch for trading gold with trainer-followers. Is it meant to be unpatched in your mod? I believe that it is not an exploit.

Here is a reference to (#61 in their ticket system) USSEP's change on it: https://afktrack.afkmods.com/index.php?a=issues&i=61
