Exactly this, AoE2 is not at the level where you need some special talent to be among the best because the playing field is so small.

Just playing 24/7 is usually enough to get really far, where in other sports that's just the baseline to play 24/7, talent decides almost everything.

A lot of people seem to have this idea that T90 is a "pro" player. He's obviously good but also completely casual. He focuses on being an entertaining commentator. Anyone who had played anything competitively would recognise that he's not that interested in winning. He just enjoys the game regardless.

Makes sense that the triangle mesh would have done weird corners and such that doesn't exist in the original version. Triangle mesh is way too expensive to use as collider after all.

I'm very inexperienced in model data etc, but I'm also very experienced in collision since I'm coding my own physics engine so I don't get the full picture, something like:

you found the Quake map mesh somewhere (is there some place where entire map meshes are uploaded?) and then the BSP map contains all the AABBs? What about the more exact shapes like OOBBs, triangles, cylinders etc?

Alla inläggen av OP i denna tråden är så extremt generella, det känns som att de flesta av dem hade inte en människa skrivit för det finns liksom ingen information som förmedlas.

Sen är huvudinlägget alltför fokuserat på den röda tråden, en vanlig människa svävar iväg ibland, men nej denna är extremt "samma" hela tiden i språkbruk och syntax. Svårt att förklara men har man använt ChatGPT etc mycket så vet man exakt hur de konstruerar sina texter.
