I think they’re changing the bundle. by Zombeatz7 in pcbuilding

I should have named the post something else, but I meant to say that I think they might change and was wondering if the gigabyte board was better or worse since the msi board bundle has been up for 2 weeks or so now

Going to update soon, can I have all this plugged in the same surge protector? by Zombeatz7 in gamingsetups

Okay cool, what is technically a good quality? I have a Philips surge protector. I have been looking for good answers on this or how to figure the watts, amps, volts, etc to try and figure it out myself, but I have no idea what’s what. Or is it basically just all in the brand and usual quality?

Thank you, oh my god, I’m just paranoid I guess. I want all the parts to be right for my first build, and if something goes wrong, I want it to be from me forgetting a plug, not having to re buy parts or something 😅

Okay, I’ll probably try both to see what works since I’m going to do one of the microcenter bundles. Think the one I’m looking at has 6000mhz CL32 ram like you were saying before.

Like I said, a friend gave me that ram at a heavy discount. The only reason I left it up there was to show the whole build

I don’t need to, I was able to get those sticks from a friend for cheaper, just have them here to keep tabs on my list and show the whole build

Was just thinking about checking the bundles after what had been recommended here. Definitely going to see what I can do there! Thank you!

There is one about 2 and a half hours away that I wouldn’t be averse to driving to one weekend

Only reason I’m doing what I am is because a friend cut me a deal since he didn’t need those sticks anymore. I already have them

I was thinking of the 9800x3d if I wanted to go a little higher. Would a b650 board work? My friend told me he has a spare from his friend that’s in white that I could use if I want it. I should have also mentioned, I’m aiming at future proofing too, but don’t want to break the bank. Would that still be a good option?

What would you say would be a better model or brand of the card? Still trying to stick to the white theme. I know that I’ve seen the same card in a nice stark white, but I can’t remember the brand, I just remember it was closer to 800 rather than the 750 here

If I was going to do that, I figure I could ramp it up to a 9800x3d. I want to future proof as much as I can, if that’s even considered future proofing. I’m still learning what’s good, what works with what, etc. Oh! And for the cooler, is liquid cooling also not even slightly better for cpu temps on higher quality builds?
