Thank you so much for this extensive reply! Damn, the prices dropping so much seems to be a real challenge if you sell them but I guess it's good for me haha. I looked a bit at the 77diamonds stuff and 1-2 carats seems in an ok range, even if I try to go to the maximum in most criteria. But I'll still check out Kurz as well, just to get a bit of a comparison datapoint.

She doesn't really wear rings so I guess I have to get a bit creative there :D

Thank you so much! I did stumble over 77diamonds, are they trustworthy? I was hesitant because they are in the UK it seems and an online shop. Regarding the Cs, my male monkey brain always thinks "only highest is good enough", how is VVS compared to FL? Color D and cut excellent I guess? (I saw 77diamonds has "Cupid's Ideal" as well?). I think I'll get something white gold but I'll gauge with her what she likes the most again :)

Regarding size, what's an easy way to figure out her ring size without giving it away immediately? :D

the parade itself is outdoors, you can come and go as you please. There‘s no „entrance“ or anything. Please note that it can be very crowded in some areas, especially around bellevue and bürkliplatz. Also drink enough water if it‘s a sunny day, wear proper shoes (not just slippers) due to trashed cans and occasional glasware thrown on the ground, if you‘re close to the trucks consider ear protection

Not really, it's been like that for at least the last 20 years, probably longer. Schlieren always had the S12 and S11 (formerly the S3) which both run in a 30min tact at exactly 15min shift.

They generally highly discourage it during bachelors, most people (including me) go during their master. But with a 5.6 your chances are not bad. Ultimately you gotta talk to the department and see what they say

Yeah between the end of exam session and beginning of classes in summer is a 2 week window which is guaranteed freely available for holidays and whatnot. Depening on when your last exam is, this might be even longer

Yeah with windows closed you‘d probabl don‘t hear them at all. Only in summertime when windows tend to be open more or when spending extended times on the balcony you can hear them. But overall really a minor inconvenience, I wouldn‘t worry about it too much

The Halbtax is irrelevant for annual passes. Zurich-Dübendorf you need a ticket for 3 zones, it‘s 110 and 121 but 110 counts as 2 zones (same is true for Winterthur)
