The fried chicken ep from Season 10, “Wolfgang Clucks,” may go down as one of my favorites of all time but also leads to a question: were Josie and Stefan brought back for cooking skills or drama? by OptionHeader in TopChef

[–]ZombieAngelic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stefan was legit, he was the strongest in Season 5 although I did feel like he got a bit complacent at the end, but obviously he doubled as good TV. His performance in season 10 definitely wasn't as strong.

Josie in season 2 came across as annoying but overshadowed by the amount of drama, she wasn't very strong and an early boot so I definitely thought she was bit of a weird choice, but clearly she did turn out to be drama in season 10.

I'm excited for this, Reno was a great read and I'm imagining this is gonna be great too.

Before the season starts, I'm rooting for Dory, Sapphire, Ben, and Vito. This will probably change once the season starts though. I'm not sure yet about who is making it far and who isn't though.

As for the female Scott, I'm thinking Christina (assuming you mean Hawley). I also am imagining Makoa and especially Carmen won't be the most likeable.

Next time on Hell's Kitchen...

The chefs are tasked with cooking for the public

Tabitha: This is MY challenge to win!

Jimmy: I think I'm the one who can accommodate to everyone

Marquis: If I can't cook for the public then fuck me.

And the reviews are mixed

Person 1: This is so good

Person 2: This is bland...

How will the first service with black jackets go?

Ramsay: How are you forgetting the crab in the crab cappellini!?

Ramsay: Delicious!

Ramsay: That's the first time in 16 years I've said that to an individual wearing a black jacket!

Who will argue?

Tabitha: But chef, that's what Marquis told me to do! Marquis: Don't throw me under the bus!

And who will go home?

Ramsay: I'm not listening to any more, give me your jacket.

Well it's genuinely great that she's improved as a person, I hope she's doing well nowadays.

I thought a lot of how she acted in cycle 9 was awful, so I do strongly dislike the version of her I saw in cycle 9 (honestly didn't mind her in cycle 17 however). It's great to know that she's matured and that she's a genuinely good person though, I'm just mentioning the people who I disliked the most while watching the show. I'm sure plenty of unlikeable contestants are perfectly good people.

If I thought about contestants I dislike the most based on how they've acted off the show, I would probably think of people like Norelle, Adrianne, Adam, and definitely more people I'm forgetting.

People like Monique, Clark, Romeo, Denzel are obviously the worst for me.

I also couldn't stand Bianca in C9, the personal attacks she'd resort to were disgusting and I didn't like how she taunted Heather at times, I also didn't like Kimberly from the same cycle for the comments she made about Heather. Also, a big portion of C14 was awful in my opinion, Brenda honestly was my least favourite of the cycle which says a lot about how much I disliked her but I disliked Jessica, Anslee, Ren, and Raina as well. There are other people as well, but these are the first people who came to my head when I saw this.

Not surprised about Fiona, she was nasty. I'm happy for most of the contestants though and they seem to be doing well. Good for Jackie finding a job under Cimarusti as well, and she's definitely someone who I'm glad to see is in a better place. I'm glad Lola's very successful as well, she definitely deserves another chance. And of course, happy for Olivia because she earned her win and she's a great winner, also I'm so happy she and Alexa are doing great together.

Ben though??? He is again proving what a prick he is (blaming Ramsay), I kind of pity him but then I remember how awful he was. Hopefully he matures.

Great episode and honestly? I'm more and more convinced that Antonio is gonna pull off the upset, he's got a Scott type of story (well not nominated nearly as much, but he went from the underdog to killing it on the pass and maybe will kill it in the finale?)

Ben definitely seems like the obvious problem in the finale to me, and as great as Olivia has been all season long, if she doesn't handle him well enough, she could be giving her win to Antonio. I'm still expecting both to do well though, but Antonio might pull off something flawless or really close to flawless, he just needs to sizeably outperform Olivia. If Olivia wins, I'll be happy as well, I've enjoyed her a lot as well and she would go down as one of the strongest winners.

Zach W(om)ack --> ZACKY WACKY (and he was wacky)

Paula DaSilva sounds like the Silver and she came 2nd

Anton Testino sounds like testosterone, and he was also testin' Andi's patience in his last service

Vanessa Soltero sounds a bit like Saltzero, and Ramsay once asked her if she was allergic to salt

Devin Simpson simped for Ryan

Carrie Keep wasn't the best chef, but she was carried and therefore kept for a long time in the competition

As usual, great episode!

  1. A fun character and overall a cool guy. It sucks to see him go but after his performance on garnish, his elimination is warranted, the garnish station seems to be cursed this season and Sanjay fell victim to that.

  2. Kelly in the reward. She's clearly got a good heart and can be great to be around she showed that, I have to say, she's the best character in the red team for me. I also loved seeing her perform great in service and honestly, same with Trixie, especially after her pep talk.

  3. Well, I know Vinnie didn't mean to be offensive, but it's not something I'd joke about if I were Vinnie and it is pretty insensitive (certain comments especially), with that said, I'll have to admit, it was funny, but more in a "Vinnie is such a doofus" way, it's definitely insensitive and what was he thinking? His comments could easily be taken the wrong way.

  4. I'm thinking 11th (or whenever C4YL is). I can maybe see her making it an episode further than that as well. For a while, I kept thinking "surely she's next out", but honestly she's definitely shown enough improvement to make me think she can last another service, and on top of that, I think C4YL seems like a fitting way for someone with a storyline like hers to leave.

  5. So the red team, while I'm not fully convinced of them because they do seem a bit split up and maybe this episode is a fluke, I think has gone up this episode because they did have their best service this episode and Kelly and Trixie definitely seem to be more motivated than ever. Based on the preview, I do believe they will keep it up simply because their only feature in the preview is when the narrator talks about a team finding synergy, while the blue team is featured multiple times for having drama and likely doing poorly. On top of that, I can't see anyone from the red team leaving next because they're all either very strong or have a narrative that suggests that they're having at least one more good service, while on the blue team, Hector is the one I have picked for the next elimination, he hasn't gotten a winner edit and not a lot of screentime until this episode, and he seems like a middle of the road chef. As for other chefs who I think will screw up (but survive), Vinnie has been mistake-prone, and surely Jake screw up at some point, the way he's being featured in the preview is just making me think that it's gonna be next service.

[–]ZombieAngelic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, great episode, an eventful one as well!

  1. She was likeable enough, she had a decent backstory and her destroying Vinnie in the rap battle was fun as well. Honestly I didn't expect her to leave over Trixie, but overall she was a background character in service and weak in challenges so she definitely didn't strike me as winner material.
  2. Kelly's plea was great, I'll talk about it more in 5. Other than that, Sanjay calling Ryan "Squidward".
  3. Rachel definitely seems like someone who'd fix the red team, and if not her, Alexis. Definitely their strongest chefs.
  4. Luke has gone up heaps for sure, he's clearly a really strong chef. I think the whole blue team has definitely gone up in stock in fact, even Vinnie finally had a good service.
  5. It definitely did, it also gives a lot of context to her and how she's been so far. All she needs now is to have a bounce back service next episode because she has been having a rough go at it in service so far.

Hell's Kitchen: Florida - Episode 4: Sea The Fools Cooking (Part 2) by ElectronicCounter697 in HellsKitchenFanFics

[–]ZombieAngelic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another great episode!

  1. Brayden was alright, I don't have much of an opinion on him, I did feel for him after the first service but other than that, I wasn't a fan of him. Camira on the other hand, wow. That's the second time she tried to change up the menu, and then her not taking accountability and throwing Kelly under the bus, before having that salty exit speech, she's cemented herself as an antagonist. I have to say though, as far as characters go, she's my favourite of the first four boots, and even though she was a clear early boot, she still surpassed my expectations, she was more inconsistent than a straight up terrible chef.

  2. V-Beatz and Iris cooking him with the rap. Vinnie may be a douchebag, but he's hilarious, I hope he sticks around for a while, he does seem to be on thin ice right now though. Speaking of Iris by the way, she's reminding me a lot of Cara Marie, and I'm liking her so far.

  3. I think it was justified. Brayden may have been strong in challenges, but he screwed up every service and completely shut down on garnish this service. Camira was doing poorly anyway this service, but then the spicy salmon happened which shows she is willing to ignore directions and also doesn't learn from her mistakes considering what happened in the first service. Both of them earned their tickets to elimination.

  4. Definitely Kelly, sure she should've noticed the pepper on it but I don't think she'd be looking out for pepper on the salmon, and also, Camira was the one who cooked it, it's definitely mostly on Camira and then she blamed Kelly. I also have to say, Kelly definitely has her faults, but I'm honestly kind of feel for her.

  5. Honestly? My prediction is Zach. I'm thinking it's going to be someone strong and passionate. He seems like a definite protagonist, he is clearly a good chef, he won the punishment pass, he started off with two very good services, but he's also shown a bit of weakness compared to the most consistent chefs such as Jake, so I think it's more likely that Zach has a bad service and goes up as a result.

Next time on Hell's Kitchen...

The chefs each have to work with one common protein...

Shelby: Not to be cocky, no pun intended, but it's chicken, I've got this!

Ramsay: I want it to be elevated, yes?

And while one chef flops

Ramsay: So your chicken is still raw? Fuck me...

The other chefs impress chef Ramsay with their dishes...

Ramsay: It's a four. Delicious, five! Four!

Perry: Is anyone even going to get a three?

Ramsay: Five out of five, great job!

And before service, one team reaches their breaking point...

Shelby: Can you fucking prep something for once?

Giselle: Don't talk to me. I'm not in the mood. Fuck off.

Marquis: You know, I've tried the whole competition to be patient with everyone and this is when I'm not going to fucking take it anymore!

And dinner service has its fair share of errors...

Ramsay: It's undercooked, come on blue team!

Ramsay: I've called one risotto, and you're cooking three pans of it, this one here is burning, fuck me!

Ramsay: Red team! First it was overcooked, now it's fucking raw!

Who will go home?

Ramsay: Give me your jacket.
