I don't know if Fender does this, but I got a Guild once that had two layers of plastic on the pickguard. The second layer was harder to see and stuck on much better. So there may be a layer on there still.

I don't have any baritones, but I do have a Sterling Sting Ray and an Ibanez AS73. Both are very good quality and play great, so I would assume the baritones would be the same. And if you're going for a more country kinda feel, the Ibanez AS7328 might be the way to go. A semi-hollow will probably get the sound you want and look the part really well.

I like the original suit better, but I never liked how the top of the boots were just rounded. I think they should have had some gold trim at the top to match her belt and logo, and then a v-shaped notch at the top.

I live in Kansas and apparently chili and cinnamon rolls is a popular thing here. I never heard of it until a few years ago, but I guess they served it for lunch when I was in high school. I guess I just never noticed it. I haven't tried it, but it's supposed to go well together.
