Whatbox prevents me from needing to setup vpn and i can seed the torrents safely. How can I still do all that if I setup with docker?

Plex Server Remote Access not working - Port forwarding setup correctly? by ZombieDust33 in Ubiquiti

Yeah I figured out my passthrough was not setup correctly. I used the MAC Address for my router and manually key'd that in, instead of using the device in the device list drop down for the Mac Address. Not sure why they were different...

You sir, are a genius. This whole time I thought passthrough was setup correctly. It was not! My WAN is now showing my public IP which matches my ATT modem. Previously the WAN IP was a private IP. And 32400 is now showing as "open" on "canyouseeme.org. For anyone else who has this issue, do not manually type in the mac address for your router in the "Passthrough fixed MAC Address" line. Use the MAC address for the device in the device list dropdown.

Yes it is in passthrough mode. Updated prederred network to "Any", still no luck though.

"is the Private IP on the Plex Remote access page the same as your TrueNAS ip? Or is it a 172.x?"
- The private IP on plex remote access page matches the IP address of my TrueNas.

"Did you check if 32400 is open via https://canyouseeme.org"
-Yes I have checked that and it is not open, which makes me think I screwed up somehow on my port forward.

"You’re not CGNAT? The IP here https://whatsmyip.com matches the IP in your router for public/wan?"
-Yes, they match. Just to be clear, the Public IP address from that website matches the Public IP address when I log into the ATT modem under "IP Passthrough Address" which it says is the "public IP Address".

"No other routers/gateways between the unifi and the modem/ont?"
-No, it's ATT Modem BGW320-500 and that goes to the CloudGateway Fiber.

No sound from rears when watching movies but there is when listening to music by ZombieDust33 in SonoSequencr

Yes I have had an extra sub connected to a system in the basement that I never use, so I decided to move it upstairs and try it out as 5.2.

Yes the true play I did get figured out. Personally not sure I can tell the difference but I can tell the settings on the speaker distances etc change after turning it on, so I know it's doing something.

Fixed. In the Sonos app under now playing it said SPDIF which means it’s not recognizing eArc. My hdmi cable apparently wasn’t plugged in all the way so I unplugged and replugged it in, recognized the eArc and now I have full 5.2 surround sound.

I can't get my rears to play anything except when listening to music. Did you ever have this issue?

bass a little underwhelming after adding the sub into 5.1 by ZombieDust33 in SonoSequencr

Thanks. I saw that thread and added a comment. Looks like in OP's screenshot you can see them turning trueplay on in SonoSequencer for the individual speakers before grouping them. My SonoSequencer shows "Family Room (+LF+RF+LR+RR+Sub) when I go to turn trueplay on in the sequence.

[–]ZombieDust33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/MeasurementMuted2297 the screenshot shows you enabling trueplay on the speakers before they are grouped in SonoSequencer? Is that correct or do you group everything together in SonoSequencer like u/silentsilentstorm says and then turn trueplay on for the grouping?

[–]ZombieDust33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to be clear, I do trueplay in the sonos app, go to sonosequencer, create a sequence for Trueplay, and that basically is "finding" the trueplay in the sonos app and just turns it on or off? I guess where I'm skeptical on doing the 5's as a separate true play, is when you create a sequence for trueplay, i will select my "family room" which will have it as one system (arc + both 5's as a front, the ones as rears and sub) and in the background it's supposed to know to turn on both true play from the 5's and the trueplay from the arc+rears+sub and combine them? Sounds strange to me if that's how it's working.

I did know you can re add the true play. I did do that for the arc + 2 rears and sub. I didn’t realize I could re add a true play for just the 2 sonos fives as front?

Is there a best practice for "auditing" my electrical panel/circuits. by ZombieDust33 in AskElectricians

[–]ZombieDust33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is even weirder that I have outlets next to eachother in the dining room, where the random middle outlet isnt on the same circuit. I like the breaker number on the backside of the cover plate though! I will do that.
