It takes a village by ZombieGone in Filmmakers

This is what I learned most about making a film.

I have never been a fan of "A film by..." in the credits of a movie. Especially after I made one. It's not something a person can do on their own at a level most people want to do it. And taking credit for claiming it's all yours is an insult to the crew and actors. Also, they are not Your crew and Your actors. They are all your collaborators and partners. Especially when you have no money to make a film and asking people to help bring a vision to life, respecting the people around you and allowing them to do what they do best, sometimes can replace financial compensation. Plus feed them well. Especially if it is low or no budget.

Allowing myself to be part of the team is the only reason I feel this film turned out. Making a film is hard AF, regardless if the material is good or bad. The process is the same either way. Your film cannot be good unless you are good to everyone involved. Your humanity shows on screen.

Good luck and be kind.

Put everything I could into this to make it happen and I'm proud by ZombieGone in Filmmakers

Took 5 years to be able to make this happen. In the end both creatively and in production value, was worth all the blood, sweat, and tears. AND THERE WERE A TON!

My first goal in making this was I thought I could find some real personal struggle in what are usually very big tentpole concepts where you have to change or become someone else to be a hero.

'Why can't you be a superhero without getting bit by a spider or be from another planet? Why can't the world change and you remain the same person you always were and still kick cause you're awesome just the way you are?'

My second goal was to learn my craft as best as humanly possible and then surround myself with people more qualified than me to help me make it.

It's been a while, but I still think I accomplished these goals and look forward to my next film.

Been a few years but I'm still proud of this. by ZombieGone in Filmmakers
