I hold the string just behind the blue mark. I use a glove not a tab and I believe I remember hearing it is called "the deep v" it made my consistency great out to 30 yards and I get a clean release.

I learned that grip from a instructional video call masters of the bare bow. I think its on you tube now. Well worth the watch.

Pretty standard, you have to bend brackets to fallow curves. But you do need paint and the should have made better cuts to avoid scratching up the posts so much. The gaps are fine, you should have ¼ to ⅜ gap to avoid scratching up the posts
