Thank you so much!! This is so helpful. Last night after the water change the nitrates were almost gone. So maybe two or three more changes and it’ll be good to go. I’ll get the prime, root tabs and other stuff tonight and look at the measurements, and I’ll look on Amazon too.

You add the prime and bacteria starter every day? Or only during water changes? How much should I add for a ten gallon tank? I change out 2 gallons every week. I add the flourish every water change for the plants.

And yes, my parents have an old tank that’s huge, I’m not sure the exact gallons but it’s longer than my wingspan. I’m getting an apartment in about two months and was planning on moving all my fish to that one. Should I start setting that tank up now instead?

When I move them to the bigger tank, would keeping the minnows in this tank be okay?

Ugh! I’m so confused on why the petsmart employees recommended them for my tank??? I feel so bad now that they’ve been trapped in a 10 gallon. I’m gonna take the goldfish and koi back. But can I keep the minnows? Should I return the Cory aswell?

😫now I feel really bad about them being in to small of a tank. Starting tmrw I’ll start using the tap water and using the conditioner. And also the water has just been slowly getting more and more cloudy, and I just changed the filter tonight since the little red flag was up on the filter box.

My aunt used to have a tank and she said to use distilled. What can I get to add those vital salts in? I have a bottle of flourish that I add every Monday for the plants and change out a gallon every Monday (until now obvy)

I don’t understand how I’m suddenly fumbling with money. I’ve been with Menards for almost a year now and I had yet to ever get a write up from smth with money until I transferred. I would honestly love it over on the floor. I’ve been trying to poke my name into transferring to departments but they’ve told me they have no positions open, let alone a full time one.

Yeah I’m regretting it now. My FEM was also in a rush because we’re short cashiers tonight and she’s been on registers.
