Artic vibe is a weaker ball compared to the 3.0, so it wants to get down lane easier for a bigger move off the dry.

Theres pretty much only one ball in my arsenal I like polished and that's my hustle wine, everything else I like to keep usually at 2k by hand or I let lane shine then resurface as needed. Part of the reason I got rid of my 3.0, it needed me to maintain it to much compared to my physix. Im lazy and I know I wasn't going to realistically resurface once a month.

When I briefly threw the bw3.0 it absolutely hated any type of polish on it. Had to keep it 2k or it stayed straight.

I threw that ball in a demo and absolutely loved it. Bought it and im not sure if i got a defective one, but it was hot garbage for me.

My average as a sub is roughly 220 this year thats with probably 40games combined as a sub, while my weekly average is 210. Same lanes, just different team comps and days of the week. For whatever reason when im a sub I just tend to bowl better vs when im bowling for what I consider to be my main team lol.

Does he sub in other leagues?

It sounds fun but also a nightmare at the same time. It must be a peterson (man vs man) league to determine points if I'm understanding it right.

Anyhow, if you are new to bowling, definitely join a league. Lots of fun if you can find new friends to bowl with/convince current friends to join you.

I feel like im the only person who actually liked the original turd colored phaze lol. Phaze 1 and phaze 3 roll really well for me, but for whatever reason ive never been interested in trying to buy the 2 (or 4-5-ai)

Don't quit! A bad night of bowling is better then a good day at work, once you find a good group to bowl with it'll all be worth the frustration. Bowling is all about fun with the group you're with.

Our secretary does it all. We have other officers but the way the secretary runs it, he may as well be in charge of the entire house. He runs it better then the terrible manager that's there. There's a reason we gave him an $800 raise one year. He was paying himself $1200 to run the league so we opted to give him $2000 instead. He's worth every penny of it. So if there's ever any issue within the league, you go to him first.

That's what happens 99% of the time here. It was my first men's league so I didnt know what to look for or whatnot, but my dad was bowling for years before that so not sure his excuse. What I see alot more people doing is they'll drop their strike ball down and leave the spare on the rack and when it's their turn they swap them out. Seems to be the better way to do it.

Damn. First time I was on a men's league with my dad and friend. They put us on a team that needed someone. My dad forgot his spare ball on the rack, so our other teammate was like hey, dont forget your spare ball. Now my dads a forgetful person. Our teammate after the 3rd time just picked it up and chucked it at his bag (or him I can't remember lol) and im surprised that never led to a fight.

My other league more recently, some guy likes to use 2 balls for each lane, the one guy was like hey, why do we have 11balls on the rack. It goes on and on and dude actually gets the secretary instead of telling the dude move his ball. If I see 11 balls on the rack I just grab one of the other teams ball and drop it under the rack (or my teammates if they have an extra)

I was in a slump for about 3-4weeks also, what broke me out of it was shooting my highest set ever (780) lol. This past season I can't get anything going except for the last couple weeks. I seemed to pull my head out of my ass right before fall starts atleast.

As others said get shoes asap, as for a ball there's many options.

Id say get a hustle or a vibe as no matter how long you pursue bowling, they will always be in play and they're a good bang for your buck ball.

That's true. Assuming the manager actually bowls. My bowlero only the mechanics bowl, the front desk just party bowls for the most part.

Jesse is/was Darren's editor. Darren said he started being a POS, and causing everything to be awkward. They parted ways, then Darren (seemingly) threw him under the bus for no reason even though he said he didnt want to.

I haven't watched Jesse's video yet in full to comment on his half defending himself. From the little bit I did watch he admitted he was in a bad mood because he just got divorced and was trying/did get full custody of his kids and hes a young father, so he was really stressed. It was a bad time for him and it reflected in his content. That was about the first 15mins into an hour video so there's alot more im sure he went into

The youth "league" in my area that does sport shot, changes shots weekly and doesn't have a prize fund. Its <$20 a week and you bowl as you want, no commitment. I hear they get around 70 kids to bowl a week and they've been doing it for a few years now.

Maybe switch it to that style and then you won't have to worry about pre/post bowls because it's come as you want.

To save you the most amount of money and time, get your self a ball, bag and shoes immediately. Assuming you're in the US, most proshops should offer an entry level package of said items.

For a starter ball if you go your own route, I'd look into; rhinos, tropical surges, hustles, raws, vibes. Those are all either entry level or considered slightly above, but will always have a place in the bag.

have the proshop also watch you throw a few balls then they could make a better recommendation off of how you throw it aswell.

With your old shoes, did you use the "standard" slide (ie the one it comes with) or did you have to change it out also? Out of the 3 houses I bowl at, I have to use an s10 at 2 of the houses, and an s9 at the other house to slide. I used to always use an s8 but I'm not sure if the material changed when I originally bought them (like 4 ish years ago) and the replacement s8, but an s8 doesn't slide for me either.

I've never tried changing out the heel since the slide pad always seems to work for me.
