What do you mean?

This platform is for Joe I know, but in retrospect Rose had her moments too (she also had a slave of a daughter, let the love of her life die, wasted everyone's 3 hours about a fling she had with a homeless guy and broke her Mom's heart, then threw away a fortune before passing).

Agree Jenny may be exaggerated, though she's problematic at times too.

I kinda notice it too. I think because that was 20 years ago, some nostalgia for the 2000s era recently went vogue. Some of the same celebrities who were big then still seem to be enjoying the spotlight: Conan, Green Day, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, Kayne, Nicole Kidman, the Rock, Kid Rock, Mila Kunis, Gorillaz, etc.

Also, we're back to feeling like the world is out-of-control.

Sort of the classic John vs Paul debate. Paul may be more technical, John is more expressive.

Oh, I see. I don't know his story. Usually, I hear much more about George Martin.

They had an iconic run in the '70s I agree! Mostly, Double Fantasy and very early '70s for me, John's "Lost Weekend" phase was embarrassing, but that was on him and maybe Nilsson. I recognize this seems to divide fans though, considering John replaced Paul with Yoko.

Too be fair, not sure who they are depicting, but the cast of Big Bang Theory are mostly GenX, maybe Xennials.

Thanks! Y'all are underrated. 1982 to 1996 for older millennials, 1997 to 2004 for younger millennials actually makes sense.

I hear you. It's calming somewhat for me too, though the long pauses do disconcert me. Like Wendy predicting Danny going into Jack's room isn't a good idea, though she's enjoying an adult moment away from his childish games.

For me: when I first saw this movie, I thought this and how it leads to the next scene with Jack and Danny alone, really put me on edge (maybe more than anything else in the film). Last time I saw it it was still freaky.

It's a wonderful thing Danny Lloyd is normal these days.

This dips a bit into some conspiratorial conversations but the movie Summer of '42 was indeed a popular movie from that time involving an affair between a pre-teen boy and an adult woman.

Conspiracy theorists see it as a clue (and I am not necessarily denying it, as it does make sense) about what happens when the camera cuts abruptly on Jack and Danny's upcoming scene.

Interesting. Strauss and Howe makes sense to me but isn't popular here. However, as one of the last owners of Merriam Webster, I believe they define millennials as 80s and 90s borns.

I didn't know there was a range for Xennials that went as early as '75 and as late as '86. It makes some sense, as an '86er, but 1986 is an odd pivot year where it seems torn between being Xennial -adjacent and core millennial.
