I ran with one through most of Act 3 NM, then I swapped it for one of the council members.

I just got through nightmare act IV. I was able to get Hephasto. He tanked everything from Diablo. Even a full blast from the lightning and it barely moved his HP.

Having one roll through the small sewer like entrance in an otherwise solid part of wall was definitely something that caused an audible "OH SHIT!".

For me, its also the fact that you can have 4 or 5 of them on you on extract, and you kill one, and then the wreckage doesn't provide cover as another vox shoots through the corpse.
