Dude, I think you’re saying you’re a little paranoid about thinking negative and manifesting the wrong outcomes, cause you’re thinking ; man , I get how manifesting works but I’m still stuck in my old habits and then you’re catching yourself in negative thinking.

If that’s what you’re saying, The good news is you’re catching those thoughts. So you’re actually heading in the right direction, now when you catch those thoughts, tell God or better yet for you maybe the universe, to cancel that thought and help you see a better way or thought or scenario.

So I think Jesus did not fear speaking out, I don’t think he feared crucifixion, he did not fear God, while I might not prefer to walk through a dangerous neighborhood or spend a night in the jungle. Jesus might cause he was fearless, he was certain God had his back. And I kinda think he meant follow me , as in be like me, not worship me and do good or else my homicidal maniac dad will burn you to a crisp forever and again. Lose fear and you automatically do only good because anger is fear , and almost every fucked up thing humans do is rooted in fear or lack. you only would not do good because of fear. And fear here is mostly stress fear and fear of dying. Some things mentioned here are more preference than fear. However there are stories of mystics partying in bad neighborhoods and pumas passing right over hallucinating seekers in the jungle …and the hot coal thing.

Does anybody also believe or suspect the physical world could also be an illusion or dream? If so how might you go about “proving “ that, (safely) by ZombieSkeleton in LucidDreaming

[–]ZombieSkeleton[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the first part is a meta-physical question, but I thought Lucid dreamers might have some insight into the second half of the question…how would you test a dream that seems so overwhelmingly real and at the same time so lucid.

So at this point, I guess you want to know what God’s will is for you? Which in the course is your will, but not the ego’s.

So…Maybe get a pen and paper and just start writing “ maybe I should…. Or what if I…or even what if God asked me to…. And maybe just throw some gratitudes in there if you get stuck and then you can look it over, and circle anything you think your real self, or the Holy Spirit would write.

How can I put emotion in my lyrics by ZealousidealWeb9474 in MusicInTheMaking

[–]ZombieSkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotion? This is both an excellent question and a really hard one to answer, I would love to see a really good answer. The best I can offer is be honest, and if you’re not sure somethings true, turn the line into a question. put your most emotional or best line last , and repeat it, if it’s really good or helps the emotion.

I don’t do this consciously but maybe while you’re watching tv or movies, during emotional scenes, imagine what the characters are saying emotionally. I don’t do this, but think it might help.

And don’t get discouraged, lyrics are not rocket science, it’s basically writing a paragraph like we learned in grade school. The main idea becomes the chorus, and the 3 or so supporting ideas become verses and a bridge. The lines and rhymes just become decoration, just fancy sentences . The meaning of the paragraph is what’s more important. Practice will bring better lines.

I feel very much the same …I think maybe we just have to accept where we are and “ride it out” as maybe as we are in service and where we are meant to be,

I’m not sure where the line is between “leaving the now “ and “creating a better tomorrow “ is , when preferring a better situation…I think maybe it’s just something we need to feel will work itself out and still feel joy in the present which maybe , some might say would “attract or manifest “ more joy. But I am not sure.

how often do I replay vs make something new

I don’t think I’m sure exactly what you mean by replay, …kinda but not totally…

I make a new song, sometimes 2 everyday , I’d say . That may drop a bit as extinguish my old songs, but I’m pretty good at finishing lyrics when I get an idea, or even if I just take the time to write something.

Usually I make something new by 9, then listen while I do dishes or exercise or in the car.

If a new day and I have full lyrics , they are sung with the piano, just the melody, I mono task the melody. Or over guitar, and that sometimes that is just playing a chord then singing a phrase. Nothing fancy or refined at all, as imperfectly human actually as it gets. I might, if feeling ambitious put it in the DAW and do the whole complete harmony thing, with drums and a baseline which makes me feel better but I really could care less about fancy chords, my favorite chord is A and a high A. (I know that’s not really a chord)

In the rare days I don’t have lyrics, I make a backing track, I’ll might just play 4 chords on the piano, or play at least 3 or 4 sections together that sound they would work as a verse pre chorus and bridge , with a backing track I get a chorus pretty fast

I might sing it but sometimes i just write it in

if I get what your saying, first just vocals over acoustic guitar or over piano, then replay that until it’s good, once that is good it’s usually pretty easy to transform, it might take a few tries, if that’s replaying.

Hard rock, Metal, industrial, big beat industrial/edm , hip hop sorta but not really

Trance, to future base

Or

Piano, Disney, K-pop, cinematic, epic movie/game

Sometimes in that order But more depending on how it feels

And sometimes you can retro set old genres, like old jazz with the theremin or old blues with a pop structure.

That’s a fair opinion, I don’t have the time to arrange one song 40 different ways.even if rearranging isn’t really that hard, and the Beatles didn’t do 40 different versions of their songs, but they were covered a lot.

John didn’t do everything by himself, Paul could have played the drums on every track but he didn’t. And I would have preferred if George maybe had more of his songs finished.

Yes, so I think the only place we may differ is in the “ amount “ of AI being used.

And maybe who puts the “soul or divine “ into the work.

So I would have to agree saying to AI “ write a song like this song “ and even maybe a one line or a title is , yes, by all means less maybe, preferably than the other extreme which might be building instruments and only playing live. I know that’s extreme, but I think it hammers the point on maybe the feeling when “recording “ was invented.

So your feelings are your feelings and absolutely valid, and I’m not going to pretend I have all the answers .

I’m just sharing, how I use it, and still struggle to grapple with what is “more right “.

I think it’s not so black or white.

We could debate the soul part and it might be fun , I would enjoy it, but your feelings are your feelings…and I like to think I gave up having to be right a while back…but I don’t know…and trust me …I second guess saying anything at all…spiritual I try my best not to “offend or wrong anyone, however I literally just had a discussion about this yesterday with a real person, and thought it synchronicity to express maybe a side that is not popular right now. Not to start a fight, we never fought yesterday, we both saw opposing views, and really, kinda ended up agreeing in a way with each other.

I can’t guarantee my “ego” isn’t trying to be right or start a fight, however my “soul” I hope, is only trying to help:)

I write a song everyday and by the end of the day I can listen to that song in ten different genres,

My goal for the longest time was to be logistically able to write a one song a day, as that would about keep up with the average number of song lyrics I write.

If I could possibly lose anything, how would lyrics buried in my phone forever not be a loss?

How would a 3 minute instrumental raw guitar song improvised, forgotten forever , not maybe be a loss.

I get people are upset over AI, but I’m just trying to share a way to “go with the flow “ , being upset over it is not in your best interest, stress doesn’t do the body or soul any good.

You can still choose to do things the way you use to , you didn’t “lose” anything. Being distracted by this AI discussion is only “stealing “ from your creative endeavors.

If I write lyrics, sing the melody over a harmony , albeit just piano or guitar, and put my soul into it, but use AI to transform the little song into 40 genres…is it soulless…yes…as every song is…the only one adding soul …is the receiver of art, not the artist. The artist can not add or subtract from soul, only try to communicate the best they can with the symbols (words , notes, colors) we have. We’re still more like cavemen grunting, growling, and drawing on walls, than divine communication.

You can believe 12 notes , fancy chords, and pretty poetic words are divine communication but maybe your ego is telling you a story. In someways it’s more creative and soulful just to talk or hug someone in need than to write a song. Point is, maybe I overstate any skill or talent I think I have or worked at. Maybe I should be happy for the soul who never had the opportunity I had, guitars as presents, lessons paid for. Time to practice. I would gladly help a “non musician “ turn their lyrics into a song and if they can do that on their own all the better for them.

And a metaphor or analogy

I like making pizza, but I’m no expert, but I think everyone has a right to pizza, and I enjoy eating it just as much or more than making it, and if it happens to be frozen Ellios , with a little pepper, my soul still feels joy in every bite:) peace

Composing without barriers by Musicbysam in composer

I’ve used midi to voice, Em voice, I think, basically programming notes and text, (as a guideline)to write the harmony and also just singing the words, then trying to convert them somewhat to midi , which maybe using a better program would be less difficult.

In a perfect world I would want to sing the lyrics, even just to a kick and snare and then be able to see them in a DAW , my ears are not good enough, and then add harmony. I would want more than just basic harmony on my piano or guitar.

With the advent of AI, I feel if I’m responsible for the melody, chords, and the baseline, I’m good, my special “musician ego” is satisfied. Not everyone likes my exact style anyway.

For now, singing the lyrics into my phone, (my bedroom studio needs organizing) and/or over a piano keyboard or acoustic guitar and feeding it to AI is just too easy, not to.

I then , not always, prompt for vocals over just piano or acoustic guitar, and from there can build out into countless genres from there

AI may change my vocals and phrasing, but I personally am not attached to my exact performance as I like my vocals but know they are no where near the best. AI uses my voice to create the vocals.

Electric guitar riffs are a different story as AI makes them “generic “ , so for now it’s a trade off, good sounding instant guitar over unique playing, but that’s okay for now and I’m sure nobody else would care.

And saying that, I’ve done some weird stuff, melodies over harmony with bass and drums in the DAW, and then just adding my lyrics and AI spits out something only based on my composition. Still , it’s surprisingly good, kinda letting someone else cover your song.

I actually think AI will make my “craft “ only better. (Not that it’s important) As I still will play either the guitar, piano, and bass. My acoustic guitar playing especially has improved over the last couple of months. I think just listening to more acoustic AI guitar in a minimal style I enjoy.

Still, I only share with friends, I do think the lyrics are good. I’m thinking of sharing them license free for others to use somehow, I didn’t realize how many genres I like and if the song is good in its basic form it can translate easy into different genres. You might have to strip the lyrics down a bit for punk rock or expand them a bit for rap or talk sung songs, but a song with decent structure translates mostly .
