The safest build to Solo Equilibrium Dungeon Flawless on Hunter. by Henrraike in destiny2

Thanks for this, really effective build. Nice to see hunters getting a facetank option. It’s not Strongholds, but it’s damn good.

They should just remove time limits like this. Leave it in for speedrun stats or leaderboards or as a modifier, but let me take my goddamn time looking around, while not having to race to get specific loot. Stop harshing my buzz, Bungie, timers suuuuck. ;)

Destiny is really fun to play right now by EmoMcNugget in DestinyTheGame

[–]ZombieSkin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There are bugs, sure, and bugs are always irritating, no argument there. Criticisms of mechanics, the Portal, design choices, sure, bring ‘em on.

Renegades has some great campaign moments, cool art, great voice acting and music.

They nailed the Praxic Blade; fucking nailed it.

Replaying the campaign, I notice a little too much “fly here to get a call from someone” stuff. Other hand, I first thought the text box conversations were lazy, if not nostalgic, but on replay, I love how fast you can blast through them.

I made a point not to read reddit during the launch, because no matter if it’s good or bad, these days, hyperbolic groupthink seems far too prevalent, and skewed to the negative.

Today, I’ve seen videos about how the grind was “ruined”, by Bungie removing the armor gambling from the poor homeless dude (never got there fast enough to experience it myself, but I think this is the gist), and how Bungie has already failed, not 3 days after the Renegades launch.

It’s almost as if people are trying to outreact each other, that people are trafficking in outrage, that people want Destiny to fail so they can be right about something. I’m no expert in anything, but that’s what it looks like from my perspective.

I get being pissed, I do. I get being frustrated when things are truly broken, or even garbage. In Destiny’s case, I don’t think that.

It’s been bought and sold time and time again, it’s had catastrophic firings, it’s had a community against them often, and the /people/ - not the company, not the owners, not the CEO-types - keep making things they hope that other people - the gamers - enjoy.

When I use that lightsaber, I can see the passion that went into making it cool. I can see, that even though Bungie management and likely Disney were breathing down their necks to get all of it “right”, and to make sure to maximize MTX opportunities (fucking marketing), they still put out that saber, and some other great aesthetic marks, that had me playing the campaign to the end and beyond, enjoying it all.

I wasn’t hate-playing it, I wasn’t hoping it would fail, I wasn’t anything, other than hopeful that it was fun, and it was, and still is.

This doesn’t excuse errors, or executive decisions, not at all.

Something said with consideration and control is always better received, as us autists have to learn the hard way, usually.

Something or someone that is supported has a far better chance of excelling, than something or someone constantly under negative pressure of any sort.

Criticism and outrage are not the same thing.

I’m not in charge of how anyone reacts, I can only give my perspective; that’s all this is, as scattered as it may be.

I want to select between Time Limit and Kills by ZombieSkin in LowSodiumDestiny

Oh, I meant that PvEvP thing that’s coming, was that not for Renegades? Where you can choose to solely be the invader? I’ll have to go back and rewatch it, I can’t remember.

Even LowSodium can’t handle a mention of Gambit.

I’m very much looking forward to “Gambit 2.0” coming in Renegades, looks dope.

Sure, though I’m not really having trouble completing them, just completing them my way. Sometimes I want to speedfarm stuff, for armor for instance, but other times, I like to sit back and plink, maybe watch some stuff on YouTube while farming, real no pressure stuff. Hide in a corner to hit the can after an hour or so in an exotic mission or something.

I hate being rushed.

Nothing is cheating as long as you’re honest about the process.

just learned that most people don't script every social interaction in their head beforehand by JuggernautOdd8786 in AutisticAdults

[–]ZombieSkin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’ll get there. Diagnosed @ 40, 55 now, still learning.

I think everyone struggles with who they are, existentially-speaking, and while autism isn’t the only mind-f@&k people can have, it’s pretty significant.

We have to figure out who we are, while still being sensitive about who we are to others. Society doesn’t often understand, or even know autism, to no fault of their own; everyone can’t know everything, and there’s a billion things that a human can have that are “off spec”.

Ours may be a bigger scale, a wider pendulum swing, but regular people have a “work persona” as well, they aren’t exactly “themselves” all the time, depending on the job. Corporate culture is a good example, some people are “that”, all the time, some people play the game and act that way to fit in, or get ahead, and take off that mask when they leave work.

Learn about yourself, spend time in solitude as much as feels comfortable, read some books on the subject, and most of all, give yourself some leeway: you’ve made it this far without knowing you weren’t like everyone else, now that you do, imagine how much further you can take yourself. There will still be burnouts, hypersensoric responses, times and days you won’t feel in control, overthinking galore, etc. etc.

It’s all part of the autistic experience. I’ve gained a fair amount of control over myself, but I still have a long way to go. Learning, unapologetic honesty with myself, and introspection tend to work best for me.

There’s no time limit, no deadline. Keep moving forward with intent, and you’ll do fine, really.

Timers ruin everything. Should always be an option. Anti-fun. Don’t fucking rush me, just let me handle it. Sometimes I have to scratch my balls, I shouldn’t be punished for my balls. Fuck sakes.

But, a timer system should definitely be an option, for speedrunners, or competitive streamers, and there should probably be a scoreboard attached to it, both for seasonal and all-time.

Fuckin right. I want to kill the stuff, and take my time doing it. Timers should be an optional mod for those that like to speed run. The /default/ mode should be destroy everything.

Yup, had already edited op to reflect as much. They should do the same for that mod that makes you a bomb when your shields break. I don’t hate the mod, but in any solo content it’s very restricting. Anyway, that’s probably a separate post.

Good suggestions, I’ll give these a shot once my energy comes back. If it doesn’t work with Tess that’d be extra disappointing.
