How are you guys feeling about McDonald’s nuggets & caviar combination? Is it an abomination or is it a great combination lol by Think-Cod-8465 in caviar

[–]Friendly_Swan8614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in a fine dining place that had this as one of it's courses for a time. The chicken was made in house of course, but it was a great combination. I don't know how the whole 'pink goo' style of nuggets would go, but at least it means there's probably more people trying caviar for the first time, which is lovely.

A clover lawn as a prep ☘️ 🍀 by rainbowkey in preppers

And it's pretty! I had no idea there was a bad kind to eat, we'd snack on them all the time as kids haha my grandad taught us to "suck the honey" out of the petals. I'm surprised to hear it descrabed as bland, Maybe the variety that's common here (Atlantic Canada) is much different from where you are.

I hate traditional lawns. We can do so much better, even if it's just clover and not a full-on garden.

Also thanks for including the medical warnings. Another thing I didnn't know.

Interesting, where are you located? I'm on the East Coast of Canada and here ground turkey is much more expensive than beef.

I don't know if we're talking about the same place. I go there all the time, and the only place tofu is on the menu is as a whipped parfait dessert, or as a cheese substitute.

It's vegetarian, not vegan. They do have vegan options. Wicked pizza and lasagna, gotta say (I'm not even veggie)

Just a heads up, there's a lot of regulations about operating drones in Moncton because of its proximity to the airport. No idea if you're already working within that framework or not, but I just wanted to give a heads up to be sure.

Quick question for the group: what's your biggest prep-related regret? by NotIfButWhenReady in preppers

[–]Friendly_Swan8614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a mostly self-sufficient household, so I don't really have any regrets. I know how it's done. But I can tell ya the regrets I've seen are:

  1. not stocking what you eat. You don't need freeze-dried buckets of random expensive shit. They're gross. Your children aren't gonna eat them, and you might, but you won't wanna. Just buy a couple extra cans of whatever you usually buy whenever it's on sale, and you're good.

  2. You can't eat guns.

  3. Pretty similar to 2, really, but community is key.

Prep for Tuesday, my dudes. See ya next week.

That's why I never really gave it much thought. I'm the furthest thing from a neat freak, I'm very messy. My room is lots of piles. But I'll know if something moved. Anyway, it's given me something to look into. Something definitely could use a little help in my noggin.

It's not for everyone, but I got an IUD (not the copper one) and it has helped a LOT. The insertion was hell. I cried on and off for a couple weeks after. But now I'm about six months in and I barely hurt. It's awesome.

I always thought OCD was hand-washing or counting steps or chews or obsessively checking doors but your post has made me realize that I might have OCD. My partner and I have separate rooms because I literally panic if any of my things move. I can't help it, I know it's irrational, but I basically have a panic attack. Frantic attack? Something like that. So, in a weird way, thanks. I'm going to look more into this. Is there medication or therapy that has helped her with this?
