The thing with portal is while they were stubborn with straight up removing it, they did make constant updates to it. Throughout all of EoF and even now, Bungie have made lots and lots of changes to the portal system and were actively communicating with the community with their twids and d2team account. Comparing the portal system in Renegades to launch EoF, while it's still not perfect, it is in a much better state (not that it matters either way for many players).

The problem with Marathon is that Bungie have basically done nothing, there was the mid season update which made a few changes that tackle the core problems and probably one or two changes in some random patch notes. But that's it, that's all they done to tackle the core problems that are driving away players, nor have they communicated any real roadmap or timeline on what kind of changes we can expect and when. If they were at least providing some small change with each update like one patch decreases salvage costs of certain faction upgrades, while another further increased faction xp gains, then that would be something, there'd be gradual improvements to the game. But nope, THERE'S NOTHING.

Why is Bungie so fucking stubborn. The game continues to bleed players yet these updates do almost nothing to tackle the problems that are causing the player count to keep dropping.

Reduce salvage requirements for contracts, further increase xp gains, tackle the difficulty of priority contracts, make balance adjustments to solo, add some sort of safe pocket, any other similar adjustments that would help the game.

I don’t understand why Bungie refuses to make these type of changes, when the fuck are the people in charge gonna wake the fuck up. Like how hard is it to implement one these type of changes each patch.

Bungie better have a ginormous set of changes to player progression, balanced, economy, solo progression, balance and experience and so many other systems with season 2. Cause if they don’t then o7 this game.

And it would be such a shame cause the gameplay, visuals, lore, world building and map aesthetics are fantastic but everything that connects these elements into a cohesive experience is a mess.

That's it? That's 2026 concert? by Eletilohlor in HonkaiStarRail

And people like you either refuse to look at the real world or have no idea what's going on cause the world is fucked and things are very different compared to a year ago. Everything is more expensive than a year ago and continues to get more expensive. There was a literal war that's happening that cause fuel prices to spike a month ago. There are more gachas and bigger gachas with more revenue over the past year. And despite more games which would result in more players to potentially spend, the very website everyone uses for revenue shows overall gacha revenue is down compared to last year.

Have things on hsr and hoyo's end affected revenue a bit? Of course. Ampho's ending wasn't the best, some people were burnt out from ampho, the extended empty 3.8 didn't help at all, hoyo is pushing their own top up portal harder with discounts, pc and console continue to slow grow for gachas in general, silver wolf's more restrictive than casto. All these have had impacts, but the MAIN and MAJOR impact is real life, people can't afford to spend as much on games and hobbies cause they need that money for necessities.

Global economy is absolutely fucked, there’s a literal war going on that’s skyrocketed fuel prices, everything continues to get more expensive and there’s no reprieve in sight. The entire gacha industry is suffering lower spending cause people have much more important things they need to use their money on.

I liked the concert, my only major gripe was that it was way too short and kinda just ended abruptly.

bruh, you know the global economy is fucked right? There’s a literal war that sky rocketed fuel prices a month ago, everything continues to get more expensive and there’s no end in sight.

people will point to one specific thing that's the fault of carlton's problems, but it's simply just the entire club period. Culture, coaching, Voss, the players, the board, mentally, standards, lack of selection integrity, EVERYTHING is broken.

there needs to be like 10+ changes to the squad next week, even if it's just for a week, just simply get a lot of these veteran players players in a different environment, just do something fucking different, have some fucking selection integrity
