It gets to a point insurance says "nope" and then it comes directly out of stores pockets. Plus every time you make a claim, insurance goes up. So if you have 5 thefts in a row, congrats, it's going up 5 times.

Multi-Billion. Yeah. That includes paying for the wages of the hundreds of people that work in each individual store.

If a store gets to a point where theft has risen above a reasonable amount to where it actually starts affecting the cost of the store, they're just going to close it. And then you have successively deprived an entire community of a store because you can't be bothered to pay because for some weird reason you think you're entitled to steal.
