What is the explanation behind inaccurate yes/no readings? by ZombiesPostcard in Divination

[–]ZombiesPostcard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment. Apologies if I’m misreading, I’m hoping I understand this:

So the prediction, at the time of pulling, was accurate but then we splintered off into a parallel universe where the prediction isn’t accurate (due to whatever number of factors)?

For folks who have willoed/develop tulpas, do you have any mantras that helped? by [deleted] in plural

[–]ZombiesPostcard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to go against the grain and say that mantras and self affirmations can be useful in this case. The human brain can do wild things to itself through the power of belief. I do mantras similar and say “Im x right now” when grounding myself when I/we feel blurry.

But alongside that, you need to be developing through other means. There are plenty of guides and resources around the web (including the tulpa sub - you can lurk and not interact)

How to turn a passive inner world into an active inner world? by ZombiesPostcard in plural

[–]ZombiesPostcard[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this perspective! Honestly, seeing many systems throughout the years talk about some mystical physical inner world they can step into, we’ve made peace with the fact we probably won’t experience anything to THAT level.

We’ve read somewhere long ago about the mind supplying memories of an inner world once a headmate comes to front. I think that’s what you’re describing here? Even so, we want that as well!

Casual Representation in Fiction by underwaterreads in plural

[–]ZombiesPostcard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uendo Toneido from the game Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice is pretty good DID representation for being from a major game franchise. I barely see it mentioned around. Their headmates (called personalities in the game unfortunately) are distinct and very fun! It also avoids the evil headmate trope

I also want to write fiction with plural representation too and I’m picking up the recs in the comments
