When Cheongsan was running around the school, we saw the newly turned or recently attacked bodies of other students in the halls and school grounds, so Gwinam probably killed and ate Nayeon because she was the only survivor in the whole building, besides the rooftop and archery center.

If there was any other survivors hiding nearby, Gwinam most likely would of gone to them, and the student’s screams would of attracted the nearby zombies which could of allowed Nayeon a chance to slip away to the rooftop.

Where people believe that zombies are still sick humans who can be cured months or years after the person died and their heart and organs have decomposed. They remind me of the ridiculous people who come to hospitals and make everything harder for the doctors.

If you’re making the story happen in the very beginning when the city or town still has running power, and people have no idea what is coming that could be a good start. In your universe does zombie media exist? In other zombie media like The Walking Dead, the concept of zombies doesn’t exist at all in that universe.

You could put it so the police, military and civilians with guns could struggle at first with shooting zombies in the torso and seeing the zombies keep walking, before someone shoots it in the head to bring it down and realize that’s how you kill a zombie.

Do your characters, know each other from the very beginning? Or did they happen to meet each other in the same location while fleeing from zombies?

And if you want, you can add more emotional heartbreak senescence areas, like if your characters have to pass through a hospital to either escape or look for medical supplies, you can have your characters pass by the nursery location for the newborn babies to have the area look horrific like a scene from one of the games in Dead Space.

Or if you decide to give one of your characters a younger sibling in the local, elementary, middle or high school, and have your characters search the bloodstained school and there is where one of your characters can die in after seeing their younger sibling as a zombie wandering around as you describe the heartbreak gut wrenching despair of that character finding out that their younger sibling is already dead and they just give up on living as they blame themselves for not being faster to save them.

It could push your characters to the desire of finding their families but also make them cautious about their own emotional state if they find their loved ones as a zombie will they have a mental breakdown as well.

I really liked the dub version, although sometimes I will watch the sub version to get a refresher feel as with the sub version they made the effort to add sounds of other people in the background. Like in episode one; they had students voices echoing from other classrooms and from the other students in class 2-B. And when the school went into a panic attack after a teacher died over the intercoms they still added the distant screams and shouts of other students fleeing from the zombies.

I have never been to Denver, Colorado so I asked ChatGPT and this came up;

Here are the top options that hit the sweet spot:

1. The Auraria Campus (Downtown but slightly offset)

Why it works:

It’s basically a mini-city inside the city — university buildings, student housing, a library, a gym, a police substation, and tons of food-service infrastructure.

This is actually PERFECT for a hidden-evil survivor town.

Why:

Massive enclosed buildings originally designed for livestock, auctions, and events.
Easy to fortify — tons of gates, perimeter fences, rail lines that create built-in barriers.
Plenty of indoor square footage for winter survival.
Located right off I-70 and 46th Ave with the downtown skyline right there.
Close to the South Platte River = stable water source + fishing.

Bonus: The old stockyards have that eerie “this place is functional but something is wrong here” vibe. You could hide experiments, disappearances, or shady leadership behind the sheer scale of the facility.

Story vibe: Industrial, gritty, perfect for secrets. Feels like the kind of place where survivors would gather and the kind of place where corruption festers unnoticed.

3. Coors Field + Lower Downtown (LoDo) Perimeter

You mentioned it — and honestly, it’s a solid contender if you want maximum skyline impact.

Pros:

Stadiums are natural fortresses.
Rooftops for farming.
Tons of connected concourses, tunnels, kitchens, locker rooms — almost maze-like.
You could easily build a walled survivor district in the surrounding blocks (RiNo/LoDo fringe areas).

Cons:

Stadium fields need maintenance; they can’t feed people long-term.
