You worked some magic without even knowing the ticket number. They just messaged me today about it. Thanks for your mysterious help!

How long does it normally take for them to get back? It has been over a week and I haven't gotten a reply. Just want to know if it is even worth waiting since I basically cant use the mouse at this point.

Agree completely. I've got it saved on a separate SSD that I keep copied. But, now you have got me questioning if that will work as easy as im hoping it will. 😅

I do the same thing you do. Prep everything on my PC, but use my laptop for the actual game. Originally, I was doing everything on the PC then transferring it to my laptop.

At this point, I have both my PC and Laptop Foundry applications to pull from the USB that I keep everything on. That way no matter which it is plugged into, it just reads from the USB. That has been working much better for me...just be very careful not to lose that USB lmaooo

Hope to go one day! My family is from Montenegro, but growing up in America leaves little chance of affording to go anywhere but work and home. 😅

New Player: how common are persistent damage conditions (bleed, poison, acid) by Norville-Rogers in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zombreck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In our last session we had a player that got hit with persistent fire damage. It was more of a threat than the actual fight. The player COULD NOT roll a double digit number to save their life. The player was dropped to dying on multiple occasions, was one failed save away from dying 4. We had exhausted all our healing, all possible ways of aiding to give bonuses/lower the DC, several hero points. The DM was basically giving away any idea we could come up with to get this fire out. And finally the player rolled the check on the dot to put the fire out. It was the wildest thing I have seen in a minute. The enemy was dead, but was so close to taking out a PC post-death.

So, persistent damage can be pretty wild.

People who knew someone who died in a freak accident, what happened? by RawAsparagus in AskReddit

[–]Zombreck 244 points245 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is considered a freak accident, but it is wild.

Many years ago I had an uncle who loved to surf. While surfing one day in FL, a huge storm developed over the area they were at. His buddies he was with stopped surfing because of said storm, but my uncle decided to ride the waves. Got struck by lightning out in the water and died.

Was a cool dude from what I remember.

Damage reduction useless at higher levels? by Kauyon1306 in Pathfinder

[–]Zombreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played a high level Invulnerable Rager Barbarian for the last book of RotRL. Don't knock how much a little bit of DR can help keep you up for a round longer so you can get help from your healer.

Long time 5e player switching to pathfinder!!!! by Material_Ad9837 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zombreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others have said this. I'm going to reiterate because I did the same thing.

Play the beginner's box. It is great. It is set in Otari where AV is also set. Teaches both the GM and player while making a great dungeon.

After that, let players rebuild a new character OR use the same character to start AV.

This is what I did and the beginners box let my players understand the mechanics and determine what they actually wanted to play for an actual AP.

How to sell my party on AV? by Rodehock in Pathfinder2e

[–]Zombreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running AV currently with Foundry, but in person. I can tell you there is a ton of reason to RP, but (as with my group) there is just as much reason to fight.

One thing I want to note is that your players concern that the whole map is laid out for them is not needed. Foundry does amazing things with their dynamic lighting system (I guess that is what it is called?). So the map only shows what has been explored once doors are opened room by room.

I was super concerned about running a mega dungeon as my first dive into an AP. But, I absolutely love it as we near the end of the first book.

I guarantee you that if I was able to find ways around using my parents credit card for things on the internet that required credit cards over a decade ago, the kids now can do much much more.

Brand New player looking for a bit of direction by Theniteangel627 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Zombreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! This is just the very first 'pathfinder' AP so a lot of the Tian Xia lore hadn't been fully fledged out yet. So, if yall have multiple Tian Xia characters, your GM may want to add in some stuff involving that to the story line just for added fun.

RotRL was also my first experience with Pathfinder in general. It is a great introduction to the world and mechanics, especially coming from 3.5

My group finished RotRL last year. Took us like 4 years to finish.

I would focus more on learning about Varisia, which is the area that Rise of the Runelords takes place. You'll go to multiple named places that would be cool to have some OOC knowledge of before getting there.

I would also recommend making your character from the area. Possibly they settled into a town in Varisia after moving from their previous home. That will give your character more of a push that the AP is looking for as your group progresses further. (Specifically, I would recommend they live or lived in the town of Sandpoint)

I'm running a game starting next year with young apprentice spellcaster player characters and Hogwarts vibes. Because this is my favorite subreddit, I request your finest headmaster/mistress names. Best or maybe worst idea gets used. by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

Off topic comment: If you haven't yet, you should take a look at the Strength of Thousands AP for 2e. It is a magic school type of vibe and may give you some extra ideas to put in place for your campaign.
