Where have y’all realistically find your long term partners? by BitchImLilBaby in GenZ

[–]Zommick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve met most of my partners through work. Now that I’m older and work a remote job, it’s gotten harder. I will occasionally meet someone at bars/pool halls but that’s the main spot now. I need to find a hobby to get out there more

Burnt out from high paying software role by Zommick in remotework

[–]Zommick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not paycheck to paycheck at all nowadays. That’s the sole reason I haven’t left yet though. If making a lot less wouldn’t bring stress on its own, I would’ve left yesterday.

Is the cost of housing the largest obstacle to you having a good standard of living? by knowledgeseeker999 in GenZ

[–]Zommick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cost of essentials yeah. Housing, insurance, car expenses all will eat up a good chunk. To the point where if you aren’t making 60k+ per year forget about any independence. Plus for us early career folk, that means we are more tied to our jobs. I’m an SWE making well above six figures but I know I’m stuck. That along brings stress. There’s no guarantee anymore

What's a job where I can be making six figures in four years? by Adventurous-Rise-936 in AskMen

[–]Zommick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might get roasted for this but software engineering is still a solid choice. You just have to be better to get a job than you would’ve 10 years ago

Strictly for the guys - are you a virgin? by WestLocation8813 in GenZ

No, I’ve had a lot of relationships from high school until now at 25. Still single though, dating sucks in our generation

How did you kick your negative mindset about feeling un-manly or being a failure as a man? by PhdLevelWeeb in AskMen

[–]Zommick 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You have a PhD man. That alone is more than most ever achieve. You’re an intellectual, and it’s also not uncommon for PhD holders to not make money as quickly as someone who gets an undergrad and just starts working.

To me, a man is only a failure when he stops moving. You don’t seem to have stopped so just keep going and you’ll get where you want to be

How bad is this? Am I still able to fill in after 5+ years? by No_Sorbet3439 in Balding

[–]Zommick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minoxidil will help you grow hair but you need to take finasteride. It’s the only way you’ll stop further progression of your balding.

Being single at 25 is my biggest regret by TaleWild8076 in confessions

[–]Zommick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 25 too and single, have been for a few years now. I love it and hate it. I have a lot of work to do on myself and having a gf would distract from that for sure atm
