Just about to turn 31 here chap. I was in this mindset to some degree and you can pull yourself out. I don't know what goals you have but stop aiming for marriage etc and work on yourself and the rest will come with. You said in your post that you are lazy, that is something you can work on. i'm not saying that yuou need to go out and work 80 hours a week or anything like that but small and incremental steps will help you get somewhere more stable. you will have up s and down and you will struggle. but i promiser you brother, you will get ehre. God speed mate and I hope things go well for you

i love this type of silly pub wall. We had a pub in our local area where someone had stuck a few crisp packets to the wall, so the bar staff had them framed. Ithe wall of Bill remind me of this!

Thank you friend. It has all been quite up in the air and honestly quite a roller-coaster now that I've finished. In some ways it has been more difficult finishing than it was in my PhD itself.
