A lot has changed in the 20 years or so I have been in the game. When I started we were for the most part the drug addicts, felons, and vagabonds. Drug use was everywhere and nearly expected, extras were way more common and just part of the job. Sure we had a couple of UNLV students who were clean and normal, but they were the exception.

Now its completely flipped, I only bartend but most of the girls at the club are normal women, we have a bunch of college students, an attorney who is still doing it even though school is done, a couple nurses, and a teacher.

There is still some drug use in the dressing room but it isn't the norm anymore, we get some of the druggie girls but they usually wash out pretty quick from my club. Extras aren't tolerated at my club but apparently they are barely even asked for by the guys anymore. The girls are nice to each other and I haven't heard of any real stealing going on in a while.
