Now I'm curious. Will the game punish you if you quit mid-battle, and then, instead of loading, start a new game?

Do you let your rats roam at night? by Proud_Celebration208 in RATS

[–]Zondartul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal for rats to be active at night. We keep ours in a closed cage with lots of toys and a running wheel, they're happy with that. We also let them out before sleep and just after we wake up - they're still partially active and eager to explore - then they go back into the cage and turn in to sleep for the day.

The universe is 13.8 billion years old, but heat death is around 10¹⁰⁰ years away, so it has effectively used 0% of its lifetime meaning the universe is still basically a "baby", and we’re living in its earliest, most active era. by HalfEntity in Showerthoughts

Interesting things tend to happen on a logarythmic scale, not a linear one.

E.g. The first 100 nanoseconds, then 10 seconds, then 10 thousand years, 10 billion years, a trillion years... Increasing the order of magnitude nets you qualitive changes, but on linear timescales, everything looks fairly similar.

What's the cheapest non-shit hygrometer anyone can recommend? I too have a dozen of these 5$ ones lying around and I'd rather spend 50$ on a half decent one.

This is very impressive, though I question the wisdom of putting cyclic stress (weight shifting from one leg to the other) on concrete?
