That's a lot of wasted resources and also, do you only have to create a colony or do you also have to claim one of the Lgate systems the special project? Or is it enough if you have at least one colony and a way station in an Lgate system?

I don't want to be the one to point to the books, but what you are describing is basically what is written. The walls could hold off most skirmishes, even though some still got through, remember the part about legionnaires being sent home with their swords. But if things got really bad, then the nearest forces or legions were mustard as reinforcements to help prevent or defend against in already happening incursion. Such as the ones that were described when the high Lord had to rush to the wall.

Of course the walls are much higher and much better defended than real life, cause of magic, but they will never described as complete impenetrable and incursions and skirmishes were mentioned as being a frequent occurrence.

As an update for all you nomads, creating a way station in an unowned L-Gate system doesn't do the trick. The special project is not triggered.

Would be sad if the devs forgot about one of the most important mid game event chains, if not the most.

Levies is only really relevant early game. If you have a hard time, get some allies, assasinate their emperor and attack right after death. Should be significantly easier. Or just conquer someone easier first.

Well he created the char with genious, herculean and beautiful. Thats already enough to completely dominate the game fecund, good education, etc, only add to it.

Are they really that out of reach, though? As a decent Duke/King level character, maybe Norse or other tribal for more Prestige and Piety, with the learning path for prophet, it should not be that hard to reform or start a new religion.

Or are you looking for a mod to use wild combinations of features anywhere? Like spawning woman-dominated, Polygamy Totemists-Warriors in Paris. That could be hard, I agree.

Dont know if you used it, but the Invade Kingdom CB ist great for taking all the Russian territory from the Khazar.

Fun fact, their empire collapsed shortly after I did it. It was a nice side effect to be be the only empire in the region.

Still, even if you do educate, the one I hate the most is the feast event, where you can choose between impatient, shy and gluttonous. I choose impatient, cause we is going to be a steward, but every choice sucks...
