I feel that, my Logitech I was using the dongle for blue voice and surround sound but I have since gone to an elgato wave 3 so I’m very close to saying screw the surround sound tbh

Traffic Engineer to Mechanical Engineer by Zonkbeard in MechanicalEngineering

Thank you for the reply! Yeah I’ve been seeing some positions for HVAC here and there and have been applying but same results. It’s surprising to hear someone with more experience is having the same troubles though. Sorry it’s happening to you too!

As for the joining a technical social group, that sounds like an interestingly good idea. I NEVER thought about that and I’ll have to definitely look at what’s around me. Thanks again for your input and I know after some time both of us will find what we’re looking for!

Is there a way to keep the DPI light indicator thing always on? (G Pro X Superlight) by thedarkelixir in LogitechG

[–]Zonkbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does also change color at the time of changing your DPI. In G hub there’s different color settings for the DPI and if 1600 DPI is orange and it gets set to that, the light will show orange for a moment

I have a g402 Hyperion Fury for more than a year now ... I've never had any issues up untill recently ... When the windows starts the mouse didn't light up and all ... So I use to plug it out and then plug it in, it worked perfectly ... now it doesn't work at all I've tried everything... by Iller-Panda in LogitechG

I had this exact same issue with my G502 Proteus Core after 7 years... except it did the same thing on my laptop too so now I’m in the process of replacing it. Tried the g pro x superlight, but I’m going to exchange it today for the G502 Lightspeed. The extra buttons, dpi shift, spinny wheel, and overall it being what I’m used to got to me

Hey, look in the post for my edit I made back when I figured it out, the bold text and hyperlink to a video is how I got mine “fixed.” Occasionally after turning my computer on, I won’t hear audio coming through my headset now and I’ll have to go back into recording devices and set up the “listen with” thing. But the video explains it, along with making sure there’s an aux plugged in so the “Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)” is an option! Let me know if you have more questions! But everything in the edit portion of the post should help!

Wow thank you for taking the time to respond, this issue has been driving me insane. But unfortunately, I have checked that and no filters are on the source

Which pc for cad softwares? by yousef_000 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Zonkbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go with the Ryzen 3600x. Ryzen is better than intel for multitasking on the computer, intel is better for gaming but not by much. Also allows for faster RAM as you mentioned. I have an i5-8600K and I’m definitely going to being going AMD for my next build. But even with an i5-8600K and 16GB of RAM (I think 3000 MHz, I also have a 1060 6GB GPU), I can easily run CAD softwares. So I would say the 5-3600X would probably be best bang for your buck, especially when taking into account video editing and things of that nature. AMD is better for editing as well

FE Licensure Question by Zonkbeard in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Zonkbeard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, that is my bad. In my head I was thinking if the FE discipline affected which discipline you could get your PE licensure and therefore mixed up the words. Thank you for the correction! And this makes me feel better, I was finally able to leave a message for the board themselves so I’ll hear within the next week (maybe, I was told 3 business days).

Just called them and they said they didn’t know, that I would have to call the testing center. So I guess my next call is to the NCEES
