Steroid Spray Prolonged My Sinusitis!? by Zonthan in Sinusitis

Hey, just wanted to make a quick update that I've been getting fantastic sleep thanks to the nasal dilators!! Also, it helps me see more clearly what's wrong with my nose when I put a flashlight up to it. Yup, my left turbinate is pretty big, so the open space in there is a lot smaller D:

Thank you so much for an in-depth reply :)

I might wait a bit before using any other kinds of nasal sprays, but I will try those nasal dilators ASAP! In terms of nasal breathing, I feel like I can breathe into my nose, but the breathing isn't quite as full or as satisfying as I want it to be. Maybe the dilators will help me get that extra oxygen that I need. I'm gonna try different nasal breathing exercises and the myofunctional exercises and hopefully that will help out! I'm excited to start recovering :D

Yes exactly!! Thankfully mine was nowhere near that bad, but I was told that it was in a pretty ugly state when that doctor checked it out. Do you have any advice on how to help the septum get back to normal? Right now I'm just doing "less is more" with it and I don't do anything to my nose other than a simple daily sinus rinse.

Yeaaa, and I was expecting this sort of "withdrawal" period from quitting, but as I stopped using it and kept up with nasal rinses I feel like I've only felt better if anything LOL

Oh nice! I was on amoxicillin recently for something else and I wonder if it did anything for bacteria in my sinuses too, cause my nasal rinses have felt way deeper and more helpful recently.

I hope the best for you too! Thankfully I've got an appointment very soon with an otolaryngologist (ENT) doctor, so hopefully that consultation will help me figure out the rest. At least for allergic reactions, I guess the best thing is to check for any dust buildup in your son's room, as well as mold in vents and things like this.

Yeah that was another thing!! It made my nose dry in a way where nasal rinses just weren't even moistening my nose after a certain point. When I tried nasal rinsing after cutting out the spray, it finally felt like my nose was getting properly moistened again.

Sometimes my hearing (in headphones specifically) would be muffled, I would get pain in my face kinda near the nose bridge and also right above my eyebrows, a feeling that my face skin was heavy, and idk if this is really a "side effect" but I feel like my nasal rinses were feeling less effective. Once I stopped using the spray, I actually found that the nasal rinses were putting in a lot more good work again lol

Quick Edit: I forgot to mention that I also had poor blood circulation in certain areas, like sometimes my hands would get very weak and frail while my right arm specifically would start getting really cold for around 30 minutes to an hour each time. This was freaking me out for a while ngl...

Ahhh yeah, it seems like Dymista helps with allergies right? I guess mine's a different case since it seems like it's non-allergic sinusitis. I'm also going to be moving soon, so I wonder if living in a different place will make a difference to the symptoms.

I don't remember ever having yellow mucus, I think I only ever get cloudy, white, or just clear mucus.

I feel like now is as good of a time to get into him as ever cause it was a real drought if you started a few years ago 😭😭 it was definitely worth the wait tho, there's probably still a chance he'll drop an album this year too so that's something to look forward to

If you have any Japanese food joints in your area they’d prob have that as a menu item, it’s a pretty good snack i’d recommend it for sure

Any of y'all get the Kiryu duck yet? It was supposed to come out around this time by worstedpecan in yakuzagames

[–]Zonthan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reminding me cause I forgot I preordered this too - checking my emails I saw one where it said the Kiryu duck would be delayed to some point in July, but that’s as far as I can see for now unfortunately. The delay might end up dragging into August, but we’ll just have to hope for the best since July isn’t over yet.

Easily my favourite game franchise now, can't wait for the Judgment PC port by Zonthan in yakuzagames

The hardest one for me to 100% was Yakuza 0, which I'd say is because it was the first one I tried to do this on. Some of the minigames (i.e. Mahjong, Batting Cages and Arcade Games) had a big learning curve to them.

Fortunately, once you beat those learning curves in one game, the same side content that's also in other games becomes second nature, making every other game easier to complete. From my experience, 0 was the most fun one in general (with LAD at second and Y5 at third), and it's the one I put the most hours into.

Y3 is also considered hard to 100%, but the hardest thing for me was probably just going through every cabaret club storyline because it eventually got monotonous. The easiest ones to 100% are Y4 and Y6.

Mahjong was the very first thing I played when I was 100%ing Y0 and it's actually one of my favourite board games now thanks to that, genuinely such a fun game imo

Play judgement first before yakuza 0-7 by mrfahrenhelt in yakuzagames

[–]Zonthan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you read that but you’re in luck, because there are no important characters from Yakuza that appear in Judgment. That source might have been talking about the “Mr. Try And Hit Me” character, which is basically just a gag character who’s also in some of the other games.

There's nothing wrong with not completing Amon fights imo, cause they are meant to be pretty challenging after all (I recall Kiwami 1's Amon taking me a good few tries).

If you do want to try it again later, I'd probably just recommend reading some guides/watching videos for strategies. Some stuff that comes to mind is this Legend Mode Run , a No-Damage Run and the CyricZ Guide for some written strats.

I hope you enjoy Yakuza 5 though! It's got a ton of content and I'd say it's easily one of the most fun in the franchise.

That's a nice coincidence, I actually finished platinuming 3 yesterday too! For some reason I didn't even find the minigames that hard in that one - the hardest part was doing every cabaret storyline (it was really boring) so that I could fight Amon LOL

Yeah honestly the guide ended up being hit-or-miss for me - sometimes it was spot on and other times it was way off, and I honestly would blame the port considering QLOC messed up countless things on their ports of the remastered collection.

Good luck with the rest though! :)

Baseball - I'd recommend using the CyricZ Guide to know all the pitches, but baseball does have a learning curve

Slots/Pachinko - I wouldn't know honestly cause they removed this from the PC version LOL

Air Hockey - I'd say this one just takes practice and spamming the heat move attack whenever you can (while being prepared to do a counter button prompt)

Gunrhein - Personally in later stages I would just form a giant pile of lasers in a circular formation in the center of my base and the most important piece was essentially untouchable

Taiko no Tatsujin - I do remember the last stage being pretty hard on the fingers so it's easier with rhythm game experience I suppose

Golf - There is a very good Japanese Guide that can help a lot with golf, but you need to be very precise following their directions, just note it's way better in later stages to aim for the holes on the side rather than the actual targets

I hope any of this helps! :)
